A voice teacher once told me if you tend to sing flat, then try to correct it by shooting for a half an octave above what you are trying to sing--and then correct it from there.
Same if you tend to go sharp--shoot for a half an octave below--then correct.

Also, breathe from your diaphragm...
Good luck!!!

The best thing for your sore throat is slippery elm logenzes - a lot of singers swear by them; one year I bought boxes of them for all my choral students right before our Christmas concert. You can find them at some drug stores and slippery elm bark. I believe that the herbal tea called, "throat coat," also contains slippery elm.
Most pitch problems occur when we keep practicing singing flat. I just read some good suggestions in the Teen Strings Magazine about pitch problems and although they are talking about instruments, it also applies to the voice as an instrument. Here are the suggestions. Make several copies of your song. Record yourself singing on a tape or CD. Play it back and circle the notes or words that don't sound right. Go back and practice those spots with a piano or other instrument if possible or if you are singing with a recording, practice it with that.
Some more help with flat notes: make sure that you are not tilting your head up and back when you have to hit higher notes. This squelches the note, causing it to be flat but many people do this without thinking because it somehow seems that putting your head higher will help to reach the note. Also, make sure that you are opening your mouth all the way into a nice "O" and that your jaw is somewhat loose.
Good luck with your audition!

I am a trained singer. In two days you are not going to be able to improve your voice production much, but there is something you can do. First, don't gargle with mouthwash - it removes mucus from your throat that you need for voice production. Second, use warm salt water to gargle with up until 3 hours before you have to sing. Now, about that pitch problem ... Several things interfere with good pitch: poor posture (stand staight, shoulders squared but relaxed); bad listening (play a note on a correctly tuned piano and gently sing it back to "AAAH", holding that note for the count of 4 and listening intently to HEAR if it matches the piano note; repeat until its perfect); and tiredness or sickness. Regarding the last, I, as a woman, always had pitch problems while on my period - as do many women. The same if you're sick ... whenever your energy level is low. Pitch needs a stong support from your body. Get enough rest and develop attitude, because, obviously, even professional singers are not always feeling their best, but have to perform anyway. That's where determination comes in. But focus primarily on listening to the notes you produce - develop your EAR. Good luck.

If you want to help that sore, hoarse voice, just eat a few colored and flavored marshmallows, my best friend taught me that, and it worked.

Take a deep before you hit any high notes, stand staright and make sure your chin doesn't move up.
