At that time there was difficulty in storing water for drinking, thus wine was widely used.. the scripture does approach this topic however. it states; "Do not over drink, over eat or become burdened with the anxieties of the day." It goes on a bit further but relates more to anxiety than alcohol. Even today we continue to hear of the value of red wine for our health. But in moderation. There is a substance in it that helps with the circulation, as well as a few other things also. The substance is called resveratol.

He drank wine.
Getting drunk is a sin.
With that being said, everyone sins.
And also, in Biblical times, wine was drunk alot more than by today's standards. Water was usually contaminated and not very drinkable, unless you found a spring.
And most fruit juice, besides grape, were not that available. Wine was literally one of the few things they could drink safely. So it was drunk often.

No he didn't. But there are some of us who can't drink in moderation, we are called alcoholics. We have a disease that causes cravings amongst many other things. For me, I have to stay close to God and not drink at all.

I don't think it's means you can't have a glass of wine everyonce in awhile. It's just saying don't go out and get yourself stoned faced drunk because your body is the temple and you are defiling it by doing so. God Bless
