Depends on which branch of engineering. The more advanced research jobs require a masters degree or PhD. The advanced job in branches such as EE require a masters degree. These branches include chip design, RF design, and analog integrated circuit design.

In general if you are not in high tech or in research a bachelors degree is sufficient, especially if you get your PE designation.

More that a BS? None. To be a true engineer by title, all you need is a BS degree. Anything beyond is not really required unless you want to go into R&D.

graduate school will only make it easier to find a job and account for more experience. At one time you could expect $10-20k more in pay, but that is not the case anymore.

very few jobs require higher education.
