On the first week of Weight Watchers you will have a big loss and even for weight watchers that was an exceptional one, but it will slow down to 1-2 maybe 3 pounds a week and as you get closer to goal even less. So no you will not continue to lose that much per week and it would not be healthy to do so- I've been a life time member for 18 years

It is normal to lose alot at first. The average weight loss is 1-2 lbs. a week. You probably won't lose this much again, much of it can be fluid. What did you do to lose this weight? Did you not eat at all? It sounds like you've barely eaten, which is not the program for weight watchers. If you are cutting back too much, this isn't good because you'll gain it all back again when you start eating normal. Are you exercising too?

you don't say how much weight you are aiming to loose in the longterm - the more weight you are carrying the more chance you have of loosing a dramatic amount in one week. if this is your first or second weigh-in it's ok otherwise you are probably overdoing the diet - take advice from your weightwatchers leader. goos luck xx

I have a girlfriend in WW and her average is 1-2 lbs a week, but if you have just started the program and drastically changed your eating habits you may see that big of a loss. There is always that dieting plateau you can count on though.

That's not to bad as it is mainly water weight the first few days. I have lost 20 pounds in the last 26 days. What’s incredible (honestly) is that I did not diet, eat special foods, skip meals, or even exercise. I just simply added something to my lifestyle.

that's amazing to loose that much weight in a week. when i went on a diet i lost about 5 pounds a week. its only healthy if you eat right and exercise. you could probably continue you it but it might be hard to maintain your weight. make sure you don't gain back what you lost cuz that's the worst.

No, it is not normal. Usually this type of weight loss is due to:
its the first week and you lose more or
you have a lot to lose and sometimes you can have these large weight losses. The normal amount to lose (and safe) is 1 - 2 lbs per week.
Congratulations!
Happened to me.
