I met this paratrooper in may 2004. Our fling didn't last long, as i snogged three of his friends, plus he had a girlfriend. His girlfriend died two months after, my boyfriend told him to get lost. A year later i decided to text him, he said it would be great to meet for a drink- never happened. He last texted me to wish me a happy new year, its a bit hard to meet for a drink, as he will be working for the US army for the next two years, take care.

I think that the circumstances surrounding the relationship, made the odds stack against you. But it is never good to do things with their friends, it really makes them feel betrayed and worthless, as they would think that you prefer their mates over themself. If i were you, i would send him a text, saying that you dont mean to be abrupt, but your going to ring him soon, and you want to talk about everything, as you think that you two could have something special.

Maybe he doesn't want to get into a seriouse relationship or he knows you have a boyfriend and don't want to try to get with you, but he still likes you a lot. It sounds like he still has feelings for you. Ask him if he has feeling for you thats the best way you can actually find out. Sit down with him one day and ask him strait out "Do you still have feelings for me" he'll tell you the truth, but make sure your boyfriend ain't there or he'll say that he don't have feelings for you. He might not want to get into a relationship cause he's going into the US army. When he ask you to meet him for a drink he might have got caught up in something.Have you ever asked him why. If you want to know somethig then ask him. Thats the best way.Good Luck!

You say that you snogged 3 of his friends!
well he obviously realises that you are a right old tart.
Casual sex is all he will want from you not a relationship.
Move on and next time you meet a guy
1- choose a single one
2- don't snog their friends

I think that due to the circumstances you were both under, he calculated it as just a fling. To make yourself feel better, maybe you should do the same.

OK what part of this was just a sex thing is difficult to understand. Let it go, maybe another time, another place it could have been different but not this time not this place

Move on. Go find someone else and try not to sleep with his friends.
