That's bloody awful!! Until this year, I was a Farepak Agent but for some reason, I never did it this January. My friends are very grateful but I feel for you. :-( The worst part is that the MD is refusing to admit problems and will not be honouring debts owed which is disgusting. It's people like you who desperately relied on Farepak and any decent man should at least try to repay something. The only thing I can suggest is ebay. Some local shops do a christmas club starting in October. Try asking at your local corner shop/post office/ or anywhere that sells general goods. They will usually be pleased to have your custom even if you ask to buy toys weekly and pick them up just before christmas. I know its difficult as I was a single mum too but try charity shops, jumble sales, local paper offers. I'm not going to patronise you and say it is love that counts because kids don't see it that way!! I wish I could be of more use. Park Hampers have vouchers that you can still buy now. Try them. Good luck.

I'm not sure about where you are - but we have goodwill - A second hand store and there is also the salvation army. Both of them are a good place to get clothes - especially when your kids keep growing out of things so quickly. At Good will you can get other things as well - furniture, toys house stuff - pretty much anything. Most stuff is significantly less expensive.
If you belong to a church, maybe you should go talk to the paster or priest. Often churches have a fund that can help out in emergencies.
Try to find out if there are any organizations that will be having an "angel tree" for your area. Often these trees are found at the local school, or stores -- your child's name, age, clothing size, gender, and sometimes even what they wish most for as a present for christmas - all of that is printed on the back of the paper christmas angel ornament and hung on a tree. Then different strangers will take the angels off the tree and "adopt" them to buy presents for that year. It's good for everyone.
I hope things get better

If there is an National Childbirth Trust nearly new sale in your area people will be selling stuff - mostly baby stuff but some older kids stuff as well - at really cheap prices - kids bikes etc for about £5 and nice quality kids clothing at really cheap prices. You can't guarantee what you'll find there though but you should get some really good bargains.
Have a look in the toys and kids section of your local Freeads/Adtrader - you can get really good bargains there too, especially round Christmas as people are clearing out their kids old toys to make room for all the new junk!
If you have a little bit of money to spend, you could get a Christmas savings card from ASDA or somewhere like that - put £50 a week or whatever you can afford on it up until Christmas then you can get your Christmas food and some stocking fillers. Thats what we're going to do as we're skint this Christmas too!
If things are really desperate you could contact a local charity - Salvation Army or someone like that, as they often have lots of donated toys to help out lower income families at Xmas.
Good luck and I really hope you and your kids get a great Christmas, even if there aren't loads of present, as long as you have the tree and the trimmings and the spirit and the crappy Xmas films and a little bit of nice food, and some little things for them to open in their stockings it will still be magical. Take them to a carol service or local am-dram Panto or something, let them make christmas cards and let them enjoy the spirit of Christmas!

Sorry to hear that you were hit by farepak. I dont know of any sites myself. Only thing I can suggest its each time you doyour weekly shop is to buy one item that will keep for xmas. You dont need to go overboard.
Like a xmas pud.
Try places like Matalan, Wilkinsons, for a small tree
Hopefully family will help you out a bit. Good luck

You need to look for sites that offer free postage too, and a lot of people on ebay, overcharge on postage I think to make up the price of their goods.
Try the following website as they do some good stuff cheap and I think the postage may be free too, if not free it wont be do much, just make sure you order in one go, instead of in dribs and drabs to save.
I wish you all the best.
