Like which brand of lamp should I get?

Something called "full spectrum" light. Also, there are lights that are designed for people that experience SADD (seasonal affective depressive disorder). You should really speak to a doctor if you feel that you have this condition.

I did try light therapy with a "light box" for a number of months but in my case, I found it didn't work. I realized that my depression was more related to the circumstances (and my thoughts about those circumstances) in my life. I realized depression was as choice, but therapy of various sorts was very beneficial so I wouldn't want to discourage anyone from doing what they need to do.

You are going to want a bulb that produces as close to natural sunlight as possible. It will have to be pretty bright (maybe 125 watts) and you are going to have to be around it for a few hours a day. That should help.

They have these big lamps you can buy that are specific for SAD.
