Christians cant accept that they evolved from monkeys, even though theres a 99 percent similarity in DNA, and yet they accept that they were created from dirt. I know it says that in the bible because i've read and thats how i know its garbage.

Hence the idea of being a Christian . We don't believe that we evolved from monkey's. We do believe that we were created in God's image. And he used dirt during that process. And for those speaking of laziness and refusal to look for our own answers.... Is it easier to believe in what is earthly or that which is heavenly? Where did you look for your answers? You go off of what scientists say, not your own knowledge. I know my God exists. I have unfortunately taken classes which study the big bang theory and evolution, and I think it's bull. If you are of science and experiment, then you know that knowing how or why something happened is important. I haven't heard one logical reason as to why we evolved or as to why this bang happened. Adaptation is a possibility in the fact that we live in an ever changing environment, and in order to exist, organisms must adapt, but not evolve into different species with differing DNA. Creation explains itself. You will never gain an upper hand on me, and my faith will forever endure.

if we came from monkeys then why arent' there any transitional fossils of the process? DNA is like fingerprinting it is almost 100% accurate. But see evolution claims that through the process a whole new species is created with more than a 1% difference in DNA strands.

I don't believe Christians came that way, I believe atheist's came that way to.

Jesus formed us from dirt and breathed the breath of life into us. Just so He would have someone to fellowship with.

No, we were NOT made from garbage.

If you want to believe you evolved from some "pond slime", that is your prerogative.

I find it much easier to believe my ancestor, Adam, was formed from the dust of the ground by an All-Wise and All-Knowing God Who, though He created everything else just by His "Word" [He spoke and it was created] but He indicated man/human was a very special creation ... He formed us. Intelligent Design if you wish.

Much better than just being a descendant of some "pond slime".

And even if you are right about only a 2% difference in the DNA, yet WHAT a difference!

Oh dear, Henry... you are not helping, I'm afraid. We didn't evolve from monkeys. We share a common ancestor (now extinct) with apes.

We share 98% DNA with chimpanzees... our closest ape "cousin."

Not all Christians take the Bible literally, either. Some are what is called, "theistic evolutionists." They believe their god created using evolution and the natural laws and what have you.

Other than that, I hear ya.

Wake up buddy, you are behind a little. Evolutionist no longer think we came from monkeys. Like most of you people are stuck in time. The evolutionist have gone on and left you hanging in the tree. You are gonna have to run and catch up.

It is a 98 percent similarity. Evolution is a bunch of crap. What did the first organism come from? How did it figure out how to replicate? Where did the laws of gravity come from? How can a mass of cells have the ability to speak and think without help? Where did the concept of time come from? The answer is God. To the poster above, I don't do drugs, your momma's wrong. God bless you all!

Not all christians find it hard to belive evolution it is really a phenomenon of the USA, the rest of the world has generally moved on. It is an interesting question as to why Americans are so intellectually lazy, but then again GW got re-elected.

I'm Christian and I believe in evolution. Also, evolution teaches that we share a common ancestor with monkeys, not that we came from monkeys.

Must be just male christians cause the females have enough sense to realize evolution is real. Men, on the other hand, obviously lost all of their brain cells during the creation of women, as they seem to think all christians believe exactly the same thing. The problem isn't christian vs. non-christians, its women vs. stupid, ignorant men.
