Do any of you think that the NSA, CIA, FBI and MI6 et al are monitoring Yahoo answers as a security precaution to catch "undesirables" and "Terrorist sympathisers"? I know they do this on Myspace.

Yes, especially by the USA. They use filter systems around the world to look for particular words in emails, phone calls etc. I think Yahoo have to keep all records of messages for at least 2 years.

The system can probably be overridden by those that are considered dangerous. There are also many sites available that are likely run by the CIA purporting to be te[ar][ar]est sites. A khadah is likely an invention to collect people considered dangerous. We can only hope that the powers that be have the public interests at heart. I have my doubts any of it is patriotism or anything near that.

Well I confess to meeting with the Scottish Socialist Party tomorrow in Edinburgh to offer my media company's services for the forthcoming elections.
They can have us at a knockdown price as anything that reduces Labour's power in Scotland but not to the advantage of the Tories is something I strive for.
Up the workers!
The unemployed as well!
Excuse me while I check the doors are locked and that there is a pellet in the air pistol.
I ain't afraid to pull the trigger mister and it has a range of maybe ten yards.
I have a bucket on my head in case they shoot back.
Up the revolution!

Isn't that why I stop by everyday? I can't resist saying "hello" when I am summoned by some unseen force of nature!!! Maybe I just need my daily dose of radiation from the monitor screen! I like the way the mouse burns the skin on palm of my hand & the numbness in my shoulder & my legs is awesome! Blurry eyesight is an added plus of working for free/dom! Can I please get a copy of my profile now?

Yes, the Yahoo staff have 5 agents in every country, monitoring every category. NOW you know why they give you a set limit on answering questions every day - so they can catch you out before you say something you shouldn't!!!

Watch "Enemy of the State" with Gene Hackman. Every communication on this planet is monitored to "get" the undesirables!

Of course not, don't be so paranoid. There are far better ways to catch bad guys than to filter through a ton of stupid questions, answers, and lies from a bunch of gibbering goobers at Yahoo Answers.

Do you realize how many people it would take to monitor every question and answer on here 24 hours a day? Hopefully they have better things to watch for.

Good question. I suppose "Homeland Security"
really means Spyland Security ala Russia. Probably they are using software which scans for certain words, patterns, usuage, country of origin etc.

yes their programmes pick up certain words and phrases which pass over the net. the government has to have reasonable suspicion for monitoring transmissions and approval. believe it or not the majority of the population are law abiding citizens.
