The more I read and talk to people, the more I learn.
As a kid, I followed whatever the church said even if it didn't make sense. Now, I search out answers to my questions and I learn more about culture, faith and religion everyday. I would hope most people know more know than they did as children because otherwise they haven't been gaining knowledge.

I would hope that I have grown in my understanding of reality, religion, and spirituality. And I believe I have. I have every reason to believe that I will continue to evolve, but that in no way makes who I am now less valid.
I don't regret being a person of faith when young, but I do wish I'd discovered Humanism, or at least Unitarian Universalism, much earlier. There's so much more I could have contributed while young. Not that I'm not giving it my all now...

Age doesn't have all that much to do with your growth unless you look at it at it from the perspective of time. Time allows for alot of understanding and maturity.
When you were a child, you believed certain things, that a child could understand, but as an adult, you begin to realize that there was and is more to the story. Understanding comes along with maturation.

I think yes. As people get older they become curious and you learn and take in a lot about who you are or what you want to be. I understand a LOT more now than when i was younger. The differences between others and what is really going around. Nice Question!

Boy, it's nice that people aren't afraid to talk about religion here. I'm new!!! God and my Guardian Angels have helped me So many times. Even when I didn't know it, when I was in my crazy teenage years. I swear, I'd be dead if it weren't for them up there! Now that I'm older, I can really understand them more. Plus, when I was younger, I didn't know to many people who were dead. When ever someone I know dies, I ask they're spirit to be my Guardian Angel, then I feel blessed for a while.

I believed at a young age.
I did not understand exactly what was required of me until way into adulthood.
The bible addresses this very thing. Paul called it milk and meat.
When you first believe, you are on milk, much like a baby. As you grow and learn Gods word, you develop a taste for the meat of Gods word.
Basics first, then the details.

the older i got the wiser i got. when i was a child i got brainwashed christianity. i didnt understand the concept of god or what he was, i just knew that in order to NOT go to a place where people are mean to you all day, i had to believe. as i got older i started to wonder, (and such it wasnt allowed at the school to question the bible) i researched verses and what not on my own. i later came to the conclusion that the bible is full of contradictions.

Once I grew up, I realized what a waste of time my first 17 years had been, going to church and trying to be a good christian when all along I was a pagan. I just didn't know the name for it until I began studying on my own.
Peace
