As a customer? One would be large, and stay out of the professional's way. At weddings the place i'm the form photographer I generally have 3 digital camera bodies with me. (these days that could be 2 dSLRs and a 35mm SLR) 3 flash contraptions, and 3 or 4 lenses. A tripod. distant cable. A Fong , Stoffen, and softbox diffuser, and a Lightscoop. I generally do no longer use a bracket, yet while so I even have one greater synch twine. approximately 20 GB reminiscence (besides the undeniable fact that I on no account use that lots. My style isn't gadget gun, I generally shoot decrease than 4 hundred, seldom greater desirable than 500 frames and grant 250-3 hundred finished records to the B&G. Now, while you're shooting a marriage as a prefer to a pair who won't have any photographs otherwise, i might nevertheless have a backup. I generally recommend having some variety of greater desirable digital camera handy, in simple terms in case. yet many amateurs don't have some greater desirable dSLR digital camera bodies laying around. So a backup for the beginner shooter pressed into provider may be greater desirable than in all risk a P&S variety. experts are held to a larger common. So having a backup SLR, flash and lens isn't an decision, yet a required necessity. If one does no longer have sturdy backup kit, one isn't waiting to take money for snapping photographs at an journey.

If the bride doesn't have different gowns, why not try to rent some or borrow from friends? I doubt many photo studios have wedding gowns for you to take pictures in.

It is possible to take her own pictures at a bridal shop. Most places will let you take pictures so you can look and re-look until you decide which gown you want to purchase. The benefit is you can try many different gowns and take the pictures, for free. However, she would be sharing a space with other girls, and it would not be the ideal background for bridal pictures but it is free and a creative, friend or photographer (pretending to only be a friend) could make the pictures work. The other idea I would have is to purchase a number of random gowns from second hand shops or even on ebay, or borrow those of friends. If you live in Texas, SMU campus has a church that's perfect and multiple waterfalls around campus. If you are not in Texas, you can do research in your local area and may be able to find places to take pictures for free. For about $200 you can get around 5 dresses and take the pictures for free. They may not be the perfect dress, but she's not looking for the perfect dress, only a dress for pictures.

I've never heard of anyone wanting to take pictures in different wedding gowns. Photographers usually take pictures of the bride in their actual wedding dress.
Why would she want pictures of different gowns? Does she just want to see what these dresses look like on her before she buys it?

I'm a bit confused....why does she want pictures of her in different dresses? Is it part of the wedding to change a few times?
Bridal shops almost ALWAYS will not allow you to take pictures in there. They dont want someone copying a dress they like and trying to make it etc. In fact, when I was trying on my dresses, I saw a girl have her film exposed for taking pictures.
Talk to photographers and see what they say, Get it all in writing though.

Just have a sitting.
She can change into 15 outfits/dresses if she wants. There shouldn't be much of an extra charge either.
Just CALL around to studios and ask them for their sitting fees. My advice is to avoid the Sears/Target/Walmart/JC/etc. Go to a private photographer and you will get the best service.

Search "Glamour Shots" in your area.
I don't understand the fixation of needing pics of several different gowns. Interesting.

My suggestion is that this would be just silly. If she is not getting married in a wedding gown, it would be daft to have her picture taken in one or more. She should have pics of her, and of her and you, in whatever you are wearing on your wedding day!

As far as I know, from the photographers I have worked with, you have to provide all of your own outfits and props...The only thing that the photographer provides is the scenery (there are quite a few who work out of their homes and have amazing things set up in their yards, etc)...If your fiance has family is Asia who can supply her with the attire she wants to be photographed in, that would be your best bet.
