If a man wanted a gf/bf relationship but the girl said she wanted to be by herself for awhile because she just got out of a relationship, then a month later the man tells her he wants to have a friends with benefits relationship, should she trust that this is all he really wants?

It's a common misconception that all men want is sex (all we think about is sex but it's not all we want) But in response to your question it sounds like either this guy is manipulating you or he just doesn't know what he wants...either way I say don't waste your time, it will only end up with someone getting hurt.

OK. I'm 52. I'm a little unclear on this FWB thing. Why? Because I think it would be really fabulous to have a satisfying sexual relationship with a woman who is also a dear friend. It's the recipe for a good marriage. So, if you have a dear friend and have a sexual relationship with them, why would you want to ever let go of it.

Or, is FWB, just sort of a f--- buddy thing and you don't really care about them?

Just be freinds, with benefits??Why sure!! Why make a commitment of any sort!!Take it from a guy who's been there, wanted that. He'll take as much as you let him,and then if you get serious later, chances are his reaction will be to remind you that you "did'nt want a relationship, you just wanted to be by your self. And he just wanted to be freinds". Oh yeah,WITH benefits.Tell him to take a long hike off a short pier!!!

First I don't understand the type of relationship you are talking about in the beginning of your sentence. I think "Friends with Benefit" relationship might mean someone that could benefit from almost anything. Be more clear. Act like you know.

maby but some times he just needs to work alot of stress off and friends with benfits is a great way to do it. You relive alot of stress through sex. And i mean alot. Plus the added bonus of not hurting her feelings. Or maby it is just all he wants
