$25.00 and worth every penny.
The person doing the cutting first washes my hair, then conditions it.
Then I get a face massage and a hot towel facial for a few minutes.
Then the cut...and it is very, very good, taking in the shape of my scalp and hair issues (cow lick, for one).
Then the rise and then the style.
This person works about an hour to make sure I leave looking my best.
And nothing is worse than a bad haircut.

My last haircut was 12 bucks plus tip. That was 3 or 4 years ago, I shave my head now.

I live in a growing community in Michigan. I have had the same barber since I was in high school. Currently, his prices are twelve dollars for a haircut. However, in the next city, we have stylists that charge up to $50 for a wash, cut, and style. Plus they push their expensive hair care products at you. We also have Bo Rics that cut hair at $13 per person with just a simple regular cut.
Because I have an excellent rapport with my barber and enjoy savings, I stick with him. Besides, I can wash my own hair and style it.

I usually pay $15 for a razor cut and style. I've been seeing the same woman for years and have recommend lots of people to her, so I get a great deal on everything. I live in outside Detroit, MI and go to City Looks Salon

I paid $56 for my last cut inc. tip. This is at a salon in metro Detroit that has been featured in Vogue magazine. I love my stylist and the general upbeat atmosphere of the salon. That being said, I've paid $90 just for a cut in Chicago that I hated. Absolutely hated.
BTW: Cut AND Color at my current salon is $156, not including tip.

I live in Southern California, I am a Male, and I cut my own hair so I paid probably around .10 for the electricity to use the shaver.
