yea i would keep it in the freezer, the refridgeorator might make the icing melt or liquid. then about an hour or so before the party put the cake in the refridgeorator so it can thaw alittle.

OK inside info. sshhh don't tell anyone, the baker can freeze it for you, why not, what do you think they do on the down time, they pre-make the cake part freeze it then pulls it for and order and frosts it while frozen (much easier), sets it at room temp to thew. Look at a bakery cake the next time and see if you can see the little hole where they stick the thermometer in to see the internal temp. Ice Cream's not the only thing in the freezer.

Ask the baker he/she might be able to keep it in one of their large temperature controlled fridges for a couple days longer. Otherwise he/she will give you advice on how to keep it. You didn't state on whether the frosting is buttercream or Whipped cream etc. That will make a difference on whether you should freeze it or just keep it in the fridge. I hope this helps. Take care and save some cake for me.

You may be out of luck. Infidelity is a tough one to get over, especially for a first love. She may try to get together again, but the chance that she'll ever really be happy and trusting again are slim. Her pain will never go away, and that is a killer to happiness. You may have negatively impacted her ability to have trusting relationships in the future. I think your screwed - again. I'd like to call you an ---- pig, but I know that you must feel really bad, and I do feel sorry for you. Since you can't drink and stop while you are feeling good and before you are no longer able to make an intelligent decision, I'm sure that you'll never drink like that again - only an f n pig would do that!

You do not have to freeze it. If you do, the cake will be soggy when it defrost. Keep it covered because when you let in air, the icing gets ahrd and the bread part.

Yes, you can freeze it just like wedding cake. I actually tasted my wedding cake on my one year anniversary and it tasted fine.

you can always ask the shop to keep it in their frig ...they probably have more room than you and remind him how many people will be eating his (or her) cake and ask if he has a card to put near the cake...it works out for both of you and your guests

I would have forzen it anyway since it sounds like you got it really early. Make sure it is air tight. It will thaw out perfectly.
