You want to drink because you like beer? Me too! ;)
If you want to have a few beers, go for it. It's a big day getting tattooed, and it's no wonder you'd feel like a few brews at the end of the day. Just don't get wasted when you have anything this is trying to heal up, regardless of whether it's a tattoo or an injury. When a tattoo has first been done it needs looking after... which is a bit hard if you get legless.

It depends on a couple of things.
1) How big it is: If you have a large tattoo you run the risk of bleeding a little more. this might make the ink bleed out.
2) Are you within the legal drinking age?
3) Why? If you are drinking to drown out the pain, don't worry about it, a tat only hurts for a little while afterwords...just leave it alone.

Yup, you can for sure have a beer or two after your tattoo. The size of the tattoo does not matter. I am sleeved, have a back piece, and am tatted from my knees down...oh and I own a shop.
It doesn't matter why you want to have a drink...if you are legal..and you are...drink up!!!
I usually have my brother/partner/tattoo artist put in the lines then I down a beer, then we finish the tatt.
Enjoy!!!

Yes you can drink after you get a tattoo. Prior to getting one though it is not recommended because of the bleeding factor and if your so drunk you probably won't rememeber getting it.
Keep it covered with bacitracin and you'll be fine. It's not like you're gonna bleed all over if you have a beer or two, enjoy!

It depends how long after you get inked. Alcohol is a blood thinner, so it's not advisable to drink right after you get tattooed (it will cause you to bleed excessively- which will fade your tattoo). But as for once it's on the path to healing and it's already scabbed over, then that should be OK.

As in, can you because of pain? Or because you want to?
The pain afterwards is not that bad, basically like a sunburn, it burns a little and limits movement. (I had a 10 inch across on my lower back done). You can drink afterwards if its more of a typical thing, I had a drink about 2 hours afterwards.

Yes. Just don't drink before because you will bleed because common knowledge, alcohol thins your blood. Drinking before could cause the color (ink) to run out bad. (some color runs out anyway, just so you know.) That's totally normal.
Drinking afterwards. Enjoy! Have one for me!
