to my brothers and sisters, dont you think its harder for people to NOT have faith in God, then for us to let go and have faith in him? I take a look at the world around us, and i dont understand why anyone would have faith in things they CAN see. I would rather put my faith in things unseen, dont you agree?

My christian sister, I agree with you that it is an essential part of our beliefs that we have complete faith in GOD, and that is the reason that when we accept christ as our savior, we are depositing our trust in him, and and the salvation that comes from him. But having faith in something, and depositing my faith in something are two different things....for instance, I can have faith that the T-bone steak I just grilled to perfection on my barbecue is going to taste simply heavenly, but I can't deposit my faith into a steak for salvation. We have to make clear to the world around us, particularly those who do not understand the word of God or our beliefs, what we mean when we mention the word faith. We choose to believe......that is where our faith stems from. We choose to deposit our faith, our hopes, and our lives into God's word and promises. I understand that the essence of faith is believing in something you cannot see, hear or touch......but it does not mean I can't have faith in the promise that my dad made to get me that fishing rod I wanted for christmas. Let's make sure we send people the correct message when we mention God's word.....particularly when it involves such a fundamental term as "FAITH"
God Bless.

No. I think that it is easy to not believe than it is to believe. I think that the getting outside of yourself and accepting that you're not responsible for your life or salvation is much harder than not having faith. Its also a lot easier to live a life that isn't pleasing to God and accepting God and changing your lifestyle is harder than not.

Dont blame anybody for that because it is human nature to believe what they see, that is why Atheists exist. Faith in God is
an invisible subject which needs an open inner heart to detect it.
Those who know themselves will know the God but not otherwise.

What do we have to believe in or hope for if we don't have faith in God? I would be totally lost if it weren't for him. My life would mean nothing and be totally pointless. I live my life for him. All my faith is placed in the hands of God!

This question shows some valuable insight...

“We put thirty spokes to make a wheel: But it is on the hole in the center that the use of the cart hinges. We make a vessel from a lump of clay; But it is the empty space within the vessel that makes it useful. We make doors and windows for a room; But it is the empty spaces that make the room livable. Thus, while existence has advantages, It is the emptiness that makes it useful”

Its way easier for the human brain to belive what is there then what isnt there. like if someone tells you they buried $1,000 in your back yard you would be sceptical to belive at first then if they showed you a picture of them with a shovel in your back yard with $1,000. why not have faith in what you can see i mean as a Christian we have faith in the Bible. and its something we can physically see. but things that we cant see is i think harder for the human brain to accept. why not belive in some thing we can see? so if Jesus appeared to you in real life it would be harder for you to belive in him??

I completely agree: Look up this verse, Hebrews 11:1, For Faith is the substance of things HOPED for, but the EVIDENCE of things NOT SEEN!!!!

Hebrews 11:6- But WITHOUT Faith it is IMPOSSIBLE to please Him, For he that cometh to God must belive that He is, and that He is the rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.
