I don't think you should have surgery, you should only have it if you are extremely fat. Plus being fat shouldn't run your life. If you lost weight you'd probably discover that being fat wasn't down to being fat.

You are a bit fat- true. I'm 6ft also and a smidgen under 12st. Losing that extra 2 and a bit stone will make a big difference. I can now wear 32 waist jeans. I'll tell you what mate, go on a low fat, low carb, high protein diet and do a little exercise. The best single thing I've done to help lose weight is to have my evening meal early (about 7pm) and eat no more than 500 cals. It really works and will work for you!

What is a lap band?
If you truly are dieting, you should be losing weight. You're either not counting calories right. Or have you considered a medical condition: thyroid problems, horomone problems, metabolism? You need to see your doctor to rule these things out.
Cut the calories back further. NO beer or soda pop. Cut back on the meat and fried foods.
Surgery is not an easy solution. In the US they do bariatric surgery (stomache stapling) but it's only for the morbidly obese. You're stuck to only eating < 1/2 cup of food per meal, no more sugars, fatty foods, or going out drinking. It's not an easy way to go.
Liposuction is the only other surgery I know of, but it doesn't cure anything. If you keep eating more than you burn, you'll continue to be heavy.

If you are eating properly & exercising enough you WILL lose weight. I have a wicked slow metabolism and fought just to keep my weight from getting out of hand all my life. I ate very little & couldnt figure out why I was heavy. Finally figured it out, it doesnt matter how little you are eating if you dont eat properly. Don't eat processed food, which is anything that is premade. If it comes in a wrapper, can, bag, box dont eat it. Cook all foods from scratch. Eat lots of RAW fruit and veggies. Exercise 2 hours a day 6 days a week. The 20 minutes a day 3 days a week is a myth, it is not nearly enough exercise if you have a slow metabolism. And DONT DRINK MILK, or just a little for calcium.

If you were dieting and exercising right you'd be losing weight - go see your GP - they will refer you to a dietician and you can even get gym membership on the NHS these days.
However my friend is the same height and weight as you and he doesn't look remotely fat so you may want to talk to someone about body dismorphia - a condition where you don't see your body as it really is - either fatter or thinner than you really are
Good luck

Oh my God! You are NOT fat. A 6' tall male of your weight is not fat. You can't have surgery because you're not fat enough - does this not tell you that you are okay as you are? I think you need to give yourself a break, make sure you get proper nutrition, i.e. plenty of fruit, veg, lean meat (consult your doctor for proper advice) and enough exercise to make you slightly breathless for about 30 mins - 45 mins a day (walking is good, works for me) and you will be fine. All you need to worry about is being healthy and happy with who you are. Please know that you are not fat, but you sound like you're in despair, and I think you need to take it easy on yourself. Did you know that not eating enough can sometimes play havoc with your weight - if you don't eat enough, your body will hold on to every bit of fat it can because your metabolism won't be working properly? Focus on being healthy and happy and don't worry about 'looking' a certain way. Good luck and lots of happiness to you...

With your height, i don't think you're considered as fat, that's only your feelings. Why don't you try to eat more on rice with chicken, pastas, and healthy vegtables, and try not to lay down as well aafter eating...If you always think that you are fat, then you gonna be totally mad! I've seen someone who is thin in a height of 6ft but they look funny, they look like Daddy Long Legs, and the more they look funny instead...

Se.e your doctor, seek a professional opinion.
I believe 14 stone is not heavy for a man of your height. When I went to weight watchers a few years back I found there were quite a few men there. We all gave each other advise and support on those important issues ---you know ------sensible eating and excerise.
Relax up or your weight will not be your biggest problem---- your heart will suffer from such unreasonable treatment--- poor thing.

your 14...I am 15...listen to my every word lol. No ,seriously...14 is too young to have surgery liek that because you are probably still growing and your body is forming...if you diet exercise and stuff till the age of 21 ( and I mean not 10 crunches between the commercial breaks while drinking chocolate milk) then you might have a reason to consider it where you would go to your doctor and ask him what he would suggest. ;)

I would check out what they have to say about such things at healthsteward.com. Doctor Nick is one that treats people who are obese like he was. He was over 460 lbs and lost over 200 of them on a regime.
Surgery is a treatment of last resort and for someone 14, that is not really a viable choice.

relax being anxious isn't gonna help
try eating balanced diet in small proportions 3 times a day
exercize in the gym for one hr everyday
swim, jog, run
try these for 6 months of dat doesn't help check wid the doctor u might have a disease where u can;t loose weight, if u don't have such disease then consult wid a nutritionist & physical trainer, if u have such disease or its genetical then go for surgery (do one surgery don't keep on doing tons of surgeries coz they have hug side affects)
