I think Gov't policies will affect the Health Care sector the most, followed closely by law suits for harmful drugs (Vioxx).

As for housing, I think the biggest concern would be pricing out of your market. The trend in houses is build giant and expensive, but with this econ we don't have room for extravagance.

If we look at what the automobile industry is going through currently, we could see the trend already playing out. American car companies are not doing well against foreign companies who have roadsided the SUV for smaller more fuel efficient choices.

The same could go for houses -- people want efficiency and not so much status anymore.

Ther biggest trend influencing the marketing of these is the natural resistance that consumers have built to traditional advertising. Once industries begin to foster real connections with their audiences they will begin to see great "ROE" return on experience" Until then, they will jsut keep beaming mass marketing messages from the heavens.
