goto microsoft and checkout issues with IE7 had same prob myself this fixed it instantly. your pc is trying to find a newer file but the older one has same name and pc gets confused it wont cause any major problems its just annoying. if bt go to bt file in programs and smartbridge or if ntl/ smartbridge and rename the psapi .dll to psapiold.dll when you reboot this file will then be over written with the new file. if your not sure about doing this get some one who is. good luck

the new internet explorer(7) is actually a beta and designed for the new operating system "vista"so this is why so many guys are having problems with it.
my first recommendation is to uninstall the program,by going to add/remove programs and clicking remove, this should in theory sort out your start up problem, but as with everything this dosent always mean it will
if not go to run and type "msconfig" and then press the start-up tab,and look in the list of programs and look for any entries concerning internet explorer,or anthing that looks like microsoft or like the message you receive at the start
when you find this, untick this and click apply, you will then need to restart your p.c and you will hopefully have sorted the problem out
if this fails, the only other option would be a system restore to before the time you installed internet explorer 7(do not restore until you have uninstalled i.e 7)
i hope this helped you
good luck

nicely perchance you may evaluate use Mozilla Firefox to browse the internet as you will see velocity is going speedier and it would not stuff up as much as Explorer does. additionally if an errors does ensue and Firefox closes for some reason it restores the consultation so which you probably did no longer lose the pages you have been finding at. worth a shot to confirm if this project nevertheless happens over in Firefox. no longer in all risk effective in fixing Explorer yet this solves many greater issues you have gotten later.

Use System restore from Start - programs - accessories - system tools - system restore.
Then install Mozilla Firefox; its safer and stable.

Raiden881 gives good advice about restoring but I wouldn't reinstall it. Stay with IE6.

If you got windows XP, try restoring your windows to before you installed internet explorer and then reinstalling it again.
start>all programs>accessories>system tools>system restore
