custard is cooked in a bowl and served from there. Or it is cooked loose and used as a sauce.

Flan is baked in a mold or bowl and turned upside down when served. There is usually burned sugar on the bottom, making a sauce.

Creme Brulee is a thick custard with burned brown sugar (crispy) on the top and served in the ramekin it was baked in.

They are all pretty similiar ingredient wise, but they all have different cooking methods.

A flan is put into a mold and bakes, then turned upside down onto a plate.

A custated is either boiled or baked.

Creme Brulee is a custard with a crust of caramelized sugar.

Creme Brulee is custard with sugar on top that has been browned french dessert, Flan is a mexican dessert, Custard is thick creamy dessert.
