By Golly you would! I just can't believe it. No wonder he says "and on that day many will come to me and say Lord, Lord didn't we do this wonderfull work, and didn't we do this in your name-and I will say, away from me you evil doers for I do not know you".

If he proved that he was Jesus and if he proved that he was God then - yes, I'm no fool. Only an idiot flies in the face of overwhelming evidence.
Unfortunately, there is no proof so far so ...
We are all on our own.

Jesus never would say such a thing. The church is an abomination of all his teachings and if he walked into a catholic church his reactions should be the same as when he walked into the temple to find the market there - he would tear the chapel asunder for its flagrant showing of wealth and blasphemy.
Of course I still say no - look I was Christened in the Catholic Church but I saw the light - god if he truly is - has told me clearly to eschew the churches as they are of man and inherently FLAWED.

If questions are rarely helpful. Christ has already declared through Paul that the church will have a great apostasy when the man of sin declares that he is god. This has already happen within the church with the rise of the papacy. The way we are told to discern truth from falsehood is to compare it with the Bible. Because such a statement would contradict the Bible, I would not believe it nor its messenger. I would believe the messenger to be a false witness who tried to change the Bible. This is why the primacy of the Bible is so important, above any ecclesiastical council or church tradition. It is a safeguard against false teaching. Men and popes change. God never changes and His Word is truth.

It wont happen, because
The Nation of Israel ( not the political state of Israel today) are God's chosen people... That will not change.... All of those who come to God in The Way He proscribes will receive His free gift of salvation and become a part of The Body of The Church of which Jesus The Christ is The Head. There is only one True Church, and none of the man invented "religions" like the RCs are it.... IMO... The RCs are not even of The True Christian Faith

Jesus does not lie, so if he said it to me,then no i would not dispute it. I'm no bible scholar but i don't think Jesus has a chosen church. All organized religions are operated by people. people are not perfect. Jesus is perfect and told his followers to go out and teach and preach the gospel. Which is that Jesus died to pay the price for all sin past, present, and future and was resurrected 3 days later. As long as some one truly believes that, I don't think it matters where you go to church. unless the church does not believe that Jesus is the savior.I'm sure God has a chosen people, but not a chosen church.

The Bible says that The Jews are God's chosen people. The Bible is GOD's word. So, Jesus is not going to say that. The 144,000 saved in Revelation will be the Jews that are left behind during the tribulation...they will be winning souls over to the Lord after us Christians are gone.

No matter what Jesus wouldn't say that because the catholic religion doesn't go by his word and isn't even for HIM, It's a Catholic church when it's suppose to be Church of Christ. It's His bride, his church. AND Jesus already told you what he's going to do when he gets here so it's impossible for that to happen.

Jesus wouldn't say that so its not an issue. I was raised Catholic so no I have nothing against the faith per say I just grew up and discovered gnostic Christianity and it makes much more sense.

The Catholic church is a non-Christian cult that distorts God's Word.
The Catholic church says Mary was sinless, but God's Word says ALL have sinned, including Mary.

There is no way possible that Jesus would say that the Catholic church is His chosen church, so this question is not even moot.
Read the Bible, it tells you clearly who His chosen people are!!
