Can you explain to me what makes you think that you have a soul and an after life and an ant doesnt? What makes you so special? What, because you can talk? So what, being able to talk doesnt make you have a soul. Do you think you have a soul because you have emotions? So what? We already know emotions are physically based in the brain, so that doesnt need there to be a soul. So what is your reason? I know why you believe in a soul even though theres all this evidence against it its because your too weak accept the fact that when you die you dont exist anymore, and that theres no god. So can you explain to me why you, as opposed to the trillions of ants in the world and other animals, have a soul and they dont and you can't use the bible because thats garbage and useless to anyone with a half a brain to know that its all garbage. I'm just using this ant example of one of many reasons why there isnt a soul so even if you believe an ant or any other animal has a soul you need to explain

First of all, ants and every other living organism has a soul. It is scientific law that states energy cannot be created or destroyed right? We are all made up of energy right? So, when our bodies die, the energy that made up who we are does not cease to exist. It is transferred to whatever form it is transferred to, also known as the afterlife.
The main argument has been that there is a direct relation to the brain and the thought process. As the brain grows, our thought process grows and becomes more subtle. If we obtain some disease where the grey matter in our brain is eaten away, those thoughts controlled by that part of the brain disappear. It is a pretty strong argument that contradicts the existence of a soul.
In any argument which is based on the constant relation between two things, that constant relation must be shown to exist; and if you can get those same two things moving in an opposite direction, varying inversely, then what becomes of your argument ? Now that is exactly what has happened in connection with the argument based on brain and thought and their constantly varying together. It has been found that they do not constantly vary together, and still more that they sometimes vary inversely; that is, that you may get a condition where the brain is partially paralysed, but where the thought is very much more active than when it was working in the brain.

What comes across the most in your post is your anger. Who says that ants don't have souls? I believe all life is precious and in the end all life is equal. All living things are made of the same energy and when we leave this place we are still that energy. I am the soul that lives in this human body. I Am the Soul. It's not something I have outside of who I am. It is what I am. There is truly no reason to be so upset. What another person believes in really has no effect on you. Allow people to believe and live as they choose, just as you would like that same respect.

Well.
I agree with you about the ant and the human.
I definitely don't believe in the bible or god.
But I believe that all living things have some sort of an energy that we carry on through our many lives. When we learn all that we came on this earth to learn, we are a complete "soul".
I agree that the bible is garbage, but that's just my opinion, and I think you should be more sensitive to some peoples' beliefs. You're not offending me.. but you may be offending some of the more sensitive types of peeps.

Nobody said you had a soul, man. If you're pretty comfortable with ceasing to exist once you die, then go ahead and cease to exist.
But why are you so mad about it? Or putting it back to you, what makes you try so hard to disprove the existance of the soul? Have you done something bad and are trying to run away from the fact that you're gonna burn in hell for infinity? Well, if you are than the ant's are gonna be the last thing on your mind once you're down there.

Judging from the attitude of your question I don't really think you are looking for an answer, but I'll give you one anyway. The difference between all other creatures and man is in creation. Man had breasthed into him the breath of God and no animals did. That breath from an eternal God mad the soul of man an eternal being which will last forever, either in Heaven or in Hell.

The Bible is not garbage. It is the Word of God. Humans can be known to have souls because they are the final creation of God, made in his image.

Because God created people in His image, not ants. He gave humans dominion over all the animals and plants to use for food and shelter.

I love ants because they are ruled by a queen. That there is genius. Ants are geniuses. It is not the ants sole itself that is important, its is the ants way of life that is its sole. Its the rhythm of the ant sole. And, it is this rhythm that will live forever.

Even quantum physics believes in a soul, they call it "The Observer".
We are special because we are wonderfully made by God, and our souls are that portion of God we received through our ancestors.
