Do people not realise that evolution actually can support the existance of God. Far better than creationism can.
The missing link, for instance, or how it all started in the first place.

Why is it that the theory of evolution is so hated by those who are religious? (I am aware that not ALL religious people hate it, I'm just generalising for the sake of the question.)

http://www.users.bigpond.com/rdoolan/misslink.html - Inormation on the missing link. There is a missing link, and so long as there is a missing link I will remain agnostic.

Just like to add that do you really think God would be angry at you for believing something that seems a lot more reasonable that what early MAN used to explain the creation of the world...Surley that doesn't matter so long as you remain a good person? What the hell does where the world came from have to do with that!?
I believe in evolution...Am I evil?

Because faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God, Romans 10/17. That is, you hear God's word to you. There is no living faith without God speaking to you. It is God who reveals, apart from him you can know nothing.

The account of creation in the Bible leaves absolutely no room for Evolution. Apart from the entire creation only taking six days, each genus of creation is specifically stated as reproducing after it's own kind. And it still does.

Does the point need to be laboured?

If you thought more critically about this spurious theory of Evolution you would be able to come to see that it raises many more impossibilities and absurdities and inconsistencies than is worth the time addressing.

Is it not better to trust the One who made all? Surely He will know best how He created it all? He does after all sustain it still. Does He not tell us? Do you think you know better than Him? Is He going to tell you lies?? ! ! ! And if you can't trust Him for that, how can you trust Him for salvation?

Without faith, it is impossible to please God, for he that cometh to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him, Hebrews 11/6

Even Science has now disproved this discredited theory of Evolution, but having nothing to replace it does not want to be embarrassed by broadcasting it.

Such is the pride of man

The concept that puts Hinduism apart from other religions is that of incarnations of God (called 'Avatar').

The 1st incarnation was Matsya (Fish). This corresponds to early life forms that lived only in water.

The 2nd was Kurma (Tortoise) This lived in the water but could also live on land. It also had 4 limbs

The 3rd was Varah (Boar). This was one of the earliest land animals.

The 4th was Narasimha (Half-man-half-lion). This was the early man who was still half man half beast.

The 5th was Vamana (Dwarf). This was the early man who was rather short and better than the beast.

The 6th was Parsuram (Man with axe). This was the early man able to use simple tools.

The 7th was Rama (Man with bow and arrows). This was the hunter gatherer man.

The 8th was Balaram (Man with a plough). Now man had learnt to grow crops to feed his family.

The 9th was Krishna (Modern Man). With the increase in the population, wars ensued and Krishna guided the righteous to victory.

The 10th will be Kali (The bionic-robotic-man, yet to evolve). This is the final incarnation.

Does this not seem like Darwin's 'Theory of Evolution' as applied to man.

This is the reason why people think the Hindus have 'so many gods'.

The problem is that if you accept evolution then you have to accept that part of the bible is not literally true. There are some Christians who base their of life round the idea that the the bible is true in every detail so if they admit one part is not true how can the defend that idea. This is despite the fact that the bible is full of contradictions and inconsistencies.
It has just been said by someone that they accept the word of god over the science of man but what is in the bible was written by men so there is no way of knowing if it is the word of god or not

the basis in element a million is merely no longer genuine in any respect. There are hundreds of examples of transitional organisms interior the fossil checklist. element 2 the organism that has some small benefit in a definite environment or area of interest would be chosen for interior the sense it ought to have slightly extra off-spring. element 3 there are such loads of examples of evolution of complicated organs from less complicated variations that's there to be sure. technological expertise is approximately measuring issues and staring at issues interior the real organic international, so all and sundry can see it, that's not oftentimes seen faith faith is approximately merely believing something without data and assuming a written textual content textile is genuine with none choose of observations of issues interior the real international. faith would properly be smart in some circumstances if the basis isn't detrimental, it ought to be a smart device for attaining long term targets in a psychological sense.

There is no missing link but consider the absurdity of it even if there were. We focus on one species-man and ignore the hundreds of species with comprehensive and indisputable fossil records proving evolution-does that mean some people suppose different biological laws apply to humans? What a ludicrous argument. Missing link=red herring.

First there is no "missing" link
Second. Evolution is a scientific theory that neither supports nor defends peoples faith in God or gods.
If you wish to use Evolution to try and support the existence of a supernatural Deity, I would suggest that you would quickly discover that all the data would suggest that no such entity exists.

Hitler prized his autographed copy of Darwin's Origin of The Species and used it to justify the extermination of those he considered less fit. Some Christians may try to make a case for incorporating macro-evolution but they do damage to the Scriptures by trying to add millions of years when it is not justified by the Hebrew language. Why not explore the scientific case for creation?

It is hated by people who believe the Bible (which one?) is the (literal) word of God. These religious fanatics think that if everything in the bible is not 100% truth (for example; maybe some stories are to illustrate a point and not to be taken literally) it takes away from their beliefs. This (in their mind) weakens their faith.

Evolution is good enough to stand on it's own feet. The question I have asked a thousand times, I can provide evidence for evolution, where is the EVIDENCE (testable, supportable) for gods?

Evidence may not prove conclusively, but something that does not exist cannot by any means be proven to exist.

I'm religious and I believe science goes hand in hand with faith.

You must define what you are taling about when you speak of evolution, macro evolution what darwin said about apes to man has not been proven so no i don't believe that it is valid.

However micro evolution has been proven time and again and believe in that fully.
