I just recently married a man whom I met on Yahoo Personals. We met online on July 2, 2005, began physically dating on July 22, 2005 and then married on August 31, 2006. He is a wonderful man. HOWEVER, you must be very careful when you begin an online dating relationship. Keep asking questions to him/her about comments that make you unsure of the relationship. My greatest suggestion is that when you first meet this person meet in a public place and drive your own vehicle; this way you can leave if you feel uncomfortable.
Hope this helps. Keep looking.

It is like meeting people everywhere else. You should not blindly trust anyone anywhere these days. If you keep a relationship going on at distance, an on line relationship, just remember that people wont tell you any bad things about themselves, so you wont know any of those things unless you spend time with the person.
I meet ex husband on line the words ex already says a lot, but I dont blame internet for that. It was a case of lack of love.
Anyway living with him was much different from talking to him on line. And also by meeting people from his family and circle of friends I have learnt much from him which he had never told me.
I suppose the same with me, much of me must have surprised him too. Both in good and bad ways.

I would avoid online dating....because you never know who's the other person on the other side talking to you....the person on the other side could be like 10 times older than you but you would think that he's a young romantic, guy who wants to chat with you...so to keep out of danger, AVOID ONLINE DATING.

I don't trust it especially myspace. I met a guy on there and was with him for 5 months then I found out he was married. What a kick to the gut, he wanted me to stick around because he was unhappy with his wife. But I left. I also came across another guy that was married that was trying to talk to me, I started asking him smart alecked questions because he kept asking me to give my yahoo address so he could send pictures to me, then he revealed he was married with two kids. Online dating is not for me it could work out for some people, though. Yes, you could meet morons in real life, but atleast you may know someone else who knows them better than you. I deleted my myspace account it is dominated by immature, moraless, and sex addicted people. If you really observe myspace you will realize it is tailored to the immature. Observe the forums, comment pictures, and Ads. It's all ridiculous.

I would avoid it because you never know who you are talking to. The person could just tell you they are the same age and everything. But, they could be lying they could actually be a 50 year old person talking to you. It's not a very good idea to online date!!

there are some sites you can trust but go with your instinct if you don't feel comfortable with a person then don't meet him/her.
