I am reading my packet of walkers cheese and onion crisps. It says suitable for vegetarians.
If I got say prawn, beef, chicken or the other flavors - are they suitable for vegetarians as well?

Weird, isn't it? And yet at Christmas I bought a packet of Walkers special edition crisps - think it was white wine & mushroom, or something. Sounds disgusting, but it was Christmas! Anyway, for once I didn't check the packet, and when I got it home I realised that it didn't say suitable for vegetarians. Can't remember what the ingredient was now. Anyway, I emailed Walkers to ask why but got no useful response, just a list of their products that are suitable for vegetarians.

Most are, but as they are not veggie society approved then you cannot be sure they will not change the recipe, so you have to check each time you buy...it just becomes a habit with all stuff, you get to know where to look for the label.
It used to be that the cheese they used contained animal rennet, but they've changed that now - about a year ago i think.
For some illogical reason, I can't bring myself to eat prawn, beef or chicken crips, even it they are veggie.
Same applies to sainsburys bread with a picture of dead prawns on it in a sandwich, i can't bring myself to buy that either
mi_kemikal_romance_rox: is that all it takes, to be a man and a veggie...sodit, wish i'd known that all these years, i'd have just worn a "i'm a veggie" teeshirt, it wold have saved an awful lot of smalltalk....;-).

Most of them ain't suitable for pigs never mind vegetarians - i knew somebody who went for experience to the factory in Leicester - never ate another one after hearing tales of the production line - stick to home made crisps - try plantain or cassava - brilliant!
Effort - but nice.

I really like both fruits and fresh vegetables better, however they look and taste. You desire a little of both.

In the event it's a fruit it includes seeds, otherwise it's a vegetable. And vegetables are usually grown in the ground while fruits are grown in trees.

Most of them are, yes. If you visit walkers website and ask them, they will send you a list of all their products which are suitable for vegetarians.
