I read some of the answers given and I believe that everyone certainly is entitled to their opinion, but when some one tells straight out lies then that's a different matter,
Jehovah Witnesses do not EVER tell anyone that they are going to hell. First of all they believe that Hell is a common grave (you know the ones that are dug in the ground and where they burie you when you die). Why do they believe this? Because if you look up the word Hell and its origin you will find that its written as Sheol in the original Hebrew language and the Greek equivalent is Hades and these two words mean common grave. Also gehenna (Greek) is used as a symbol of eternal destruction
Jehovah Witnesses did not rewrite the Bible. All they did was VERY carefully translate it into modern day language that people could understand better as we do not speak as we did at one time. They even offer the Greek scriptures in the original Greek text with translation word by word.
If you were a bible student or a bible scolar then you would know that what I,m saying is true.
Jehovah Witnesses come to teach people ,yes at their doors because that is ,1 -what Jesus did and 2.-That is what the bible says to do.
Also they do not celebrate certain holidays because some originate with pagan celebrations and some are of worshiping something other than God and some are because their only allegiance is with Jehovah God.
Jehovah Witnesses are just people who diligently study the bible and apply it to their lives 24/7. They are not a cult as their is not one leader. In each of the kingdom Halls there is not one minister but rather all who are baptised are ministers of God.
I am leaving you with a web sight-This sight will tell you exactly who Jehovah Witnesses are and what they believe in.
I too think that they happen to be extremely nice people at all times. Their very beliefs depend on them adhering to what the bible says.

Take the challenge and use your own bible even-read what Jehovah's witnesses believe scripture by scripture and then you decide if they are not speaking the truth. Don't forget to look up the original paprouses and other artifacts available get serious and prove them wrong if you can.
Don't forget to pray before you start so that you may discover the truth.

you can also call your local Kingdom Hall and request a witness visit you and then you can ask one personaly what their beliefs are and they certainly will show you using your bible what their beliefs are and why.

I don't necessarily have anything against the relegion, but the way their congregation tries to educate other religions! I do not know how many times there has been a witness at my door at 8:00am on a Saturday morning. Hungover and in my pajamas I answer the door and they push themselves into the foyer with out an invite. I just wish they were a little less agressive.

And on another note, I grew up with some friends who were Jehova's Witness' and they were not aloud to attend b-day parties or IndependanceDay plays at school. Why not celebrate birthdays and holidays.... they were meant to remember the good things in life not sins. I mean can you imagine as a four year old child watching all of your friends pass out valentines day cards and you not get one or be able to accept one! Pretty sad! Or being invited to a b-day party that all of your friends will be at and not get to go?!

They declare to be God's prophet and the exceptional channel of communique God is making use of.To end up them declaring they're Gods prophet, appear within the W.T. four/a million/seventy two pg.197"They shall recognise that a prophet is amongst them".Also learn dueteronomy 18:20-22. Just via the act of prophesying they're advertising themselves to being God's prophet. What bigger manner might there be to denying fake prophesying than via now not claiming to be a prophet. In the late1800's and early 1900's they prophesied that" God might salary his last conflict of Armageddon in 1914,that historical testomony characters might be revived in 1925(Rutherford, Millions now dwelling will by no means die,1920,pp. 89,ninety,ninety seven), and within the mid 60's they pointed closer to 1975 being the opening of Chist's millennial reign(W.T. eight/15/sixty eight,p499) . Even to the factor of quitting thieir jobs and promoting their properties with a view to be complete-time "pioneer" carrier renders. These predictions look to be prophetic undeniably . They additionally don't use any translation of the Bible instead of the New World Translation . If they did, thier whole notion process might have got to difference . Here are a few ideals (doctrines) they have got that their founder Charles Taze Russell began preaching in 1875.First, Jesus, didn't die on a go however as an alternative a torture stake ,(no different translation says torture stake).Second ,Jesus isn't regarded God however as an alternative a god (Michael the angel truthfully) Read John a million:a million first the N.W.T. then some other translation. Third, we don't seem to be stored via religion by way of grace(Gods love that we do not deserve) however as an alternative religion by way of works. This notion is solely easily mistranslated,(learn Romans five:a million-eleven, Titus three:five,Ephesians two:eight, nine). Consequentially, the Watchtower Governing board has needed to make a few severe alterations within the scriptures with a view to help their doctrines. I rather believe such a lot poeple that are living their lives in keeping with what the Bible says are meant to be being concerned and exhibit love to at least one one more. Their movements must mirror their religion(in Jesus). Witnesses definitely do a huge activity being concerned and displaying love for others. I'm definite that almost all Witnesses are honest and are obediently doing the need of God. However , they rather must concider investigating the reality at the back of what they're so diligently aiding as the only actual illustration of Gods poeple. The Watchtower Society rather do feel they're the only and handiest actual supply of teachings of Jehovah God, the Bible isn't sufficient(W.T. nine/15/10p298,eight/15/81pg28,29,12/a million/81p27)

It is true that Jehovah's Witnesses are not loved by everyone.
http://jw-media.org/newsroom/human_rights.htm
Some people hate Jehovah's Witnesses out of ignorance, or over some misunderstanding. A few may have had a bad personal experience with an individual who claimed to be a Jehovah's Witness, and prejudicially extended their animus to this entire Christian religion.

However, it seems that the majority of anti-Witness hatred is motivated by religious intolerance and bigotry. A few may even be motivated against their Christian worship by the unseen 'god of this system of things', Satan the Devil.

(2 Corinthians 4:4) the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers

Interestingly, such "hatred" should be expected by true Christians in this time of the end, and it actually helps identify Jehovah's Witnesses as Christ's true disciples:

(John 15:19) If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you.

(Luke 6:22) Happy are you whenever men hate you, and whenever they exclude you and reproach you and cast out your name as wicked for the sake of the Son of man.

(1 Peter 4:4) Because you do not continue running with them in this course to the same low sink of debauchery, they are puzzled and go on speaking abusively of you.

(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

It seems signficant that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are the ones best known for their worldwide preaching work. Yet Jesus commanded that ALL who would call themselves "Christian" perform this public work:

(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.

The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society has no respect for the Bible. They made up doctrines that are really lousy and then they rewrote the Bible to match the lousy doctrine.

Every good Christian knows that you don't rewrite the Word of God.

Jesus Christ is the "I AM" or God Himself in a visible body.

"For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily."
-- Colossians 2:9

"Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?"
-- John 14:9

"Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you Before Abraham was, I AM."
-- John 8:58

In the Swedenborgian denomination of the Christian Church, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit is the Good, the Truth and what comes forth from the marriage of Good and Truth, or the two elements of God and the resultant action, just like the soul, the body and the works in a single person.

I believe they are free to pursue truth and fulfillment in any way they choose, so long as they do not break the law or deny anyone else the right to do the same.

So long as they don't call at my door too early or too late, and are respectful enough to take "no" for an answer and leave people alone once they've said "not interested," I think their proselytizing is fine, too.

After reading the lies people are saying about Jehovah's Witnesses, I'd like to ask you one question. If you want to know the truth about God, would you ask Satan? Well, if you want to know the truth about Jehovah's Witnesses, the best thing to do is to ask them. They are not hard to find.

I feel bad for your friends. They shouldn't get picked on, but also I feel bad because they didn't even get to choose their faith, it was forced on them.

The adults on the other hand are a pain in the butt. I had somebody at my door this weekend. Didn't answer it of course, but they left a pamphlet, so I knew it was them.
