Hi every one
I have a writeen assignment in Power Market and I need to clearify the title of this assignment please .. the title is .. ( Trading within and between markets for Gas ,Electricity and Carbon ) ... I did not understand the topic becasue i am not a ntive English speaker . Anyone could help and explain the topic ,, Cheers

The carbon market as I understand it refers to emissions of carbon (in the form of CO2) into the atmosphere and only exists in the EEC. Companies have to buy credits for each tonne of carbon they emit and they can be traded forming a market. Natural gas is now a common fuel for power production in highly efficient (60% or better) combined cycle gas turbine plants. Inherently as a fuel it produces less carbon emissions than other fossil fuels because of its lower carbon:hydrogen ratio. As a major fuel for electricity production natural gas prices are a major factor in electricity prices.

Well, carbon is coal. And we burn natural gas and coal to make electricity. You need to look into the government regulation on electricity and the open market for coal and natural gas prices. The government deregulated electricity prices several years ago and it threw a wrench in the energy market.
