I have terribly thin, fine hair and it grows very slow besides. I have been in an "inbetween" length for about forever now. I have tried Silica supplements and saw no results. Prenatal vitamins dont work for me either. Any other suggestions??

I don't think there is a way to make your hair grow faster. The average person's hair grows about a half and inch per month. I've read that each individuals hair has a designated length it can grow to...for example, your eyelashes stop growing at a certain point...so does peoples' hair, it just varies. Vitamins are a good idea for keeping hair strong, as well as using the right shampoo and conditioner. I wouldn't over-process it (dye too often, blow dry daily), and I'd keep up with the trims to rid of split ends. Go to a professional, put some layers in and it will get fuller. Actually, having a professional color it with highlights or lowlights will give it more dimension....giving the appearance of fuller hair!

I don't think it is really possible to make your hair grow faster, but you could make it grow healthier. I have long hair, and at a certain point, it starts getting unhealthy. Of course, trims are necessary to keep your hair healthy, but make sure that you aren't trimming your hair more than it grows. You can always ask your stylist to just trim the most minimal amount when you go in. For me, this is sometimes just half an inch. I also rarely style my hair using a blow dryer or heat. The more you use the blow dryer and heat with your hair, the more often you have to get trims, and the slower it will take for your hair to grow. I also wash my hair in the early evening so it has time to dry at night before I have to be anywhere. I wash my hair every other day, because washing too often will dry hair out. For the days I don't wash my hair, I just clip it up in the shower. Some new things that I am trying: Combing my wet hair with a pick instead of a brush because hair is more fragile when it is wet and the brush breaks hair easier. Good luck!

If you want hair to grow faster, you have to take supplements that work on your body chemistry to support hair's growth and strength at its genesis.....once it has grown out, it is just dead keratin
Try GNC, they make a supplement called "Nourishair" in formulas for men and women..they are HUGE pills and you have to take 2 daily. There is also a "Hair skin and nails" formula from Andrew Lessman that you can google, that has great ingredients and is easier to swallow, made by ProCaps labs. You can also take large doses of Biotin, sometimes called Vitamin H, take no less than 2500 micrograms daily to support healthy hair growth. It may take 6 to 8 weeks to see results.

Sorry sweetheart, your hair only grows about 1/2 an inch every month. There isn't much you can do, but if you have trouble with growth it could be an protein deficiency. Make sure you eat meat or protein supplements if you are a vegetarian! :)

Develop a hair care routine- Condition your hair regularly to maintain length. Shampoo strips your hair of its natural moisture.
You can try taking Biotin and B complex vitamins which contributes to healthy hair, nails and skin. Good Luck!

Make sure that if there are any dead ends on your hair you get your hair trimmed. Not a lot but just a smidgen. This will make your hair grow a bit faster. Every few months have this done.

Nothing makes hair grow faster. Just use good salon quality products and make sure you continue to get monthly trims to avoid split ends.

if you are straightening your hair it might be damaged or it could be from too many hair products. if you are stressed your hair will not grow very fast and tends to thin. you should maybe ask a lady at a salon bcuz they sometimes no more about it.

The most natural thing is to make sure that you are getting trims regularly...split ends causes hair growth to be stunted and most importantly....drink milk...it may sound like a joke but its not...drinking milk promotes hair and nail growth....
