Should not Yahoo specify which Portland it is? Should not there be both Portlands? Should not there also be non-stop airline service between them, especially for beer lovers as each Portland has so many great micro-breweries and brewpubs?

To say nothing of the delights savoring the beers with the lobsters in one versus the dungeness crabs in the other.

I'm from Portland, Oregon and I miss it. You should always specify what state you are talking about...just think about how many damn Springfields there are! I don't know about non-stop airling service between the two. That would be one hell of a pub crawl, don't you think?

Perhaps Yahoo can make it a bit more clear with a simple "OR" at the end. Portland, Maine is much smaller than Portland, Oregon though.

To demand complete parity would be like demanding people on the San Francisco board state if they're talking about the U.S. city (which everyone knows about) or one of the many obscure villages and towns in Latin America that are also called "San Francisco".

Egh, for the most part you can tell which Portland people are talking about. I live in Portland and can say the other Portland has never entered a single sentence from my mouth.

I can't say anything about the crab or lobster, as I don't care for shell fish.

As for the nonstop flight? I don't have any enthusiastic reason to visit Mass., so I could do without that to.
