he wrote me on his wifes birthday in august asking what i wanted to eat while down in other state for visit. while i was down on visit he announces this was "morally wrong" (he was married to woman in my city) and went silent. why didn't he come clean ahead of my visit to see him while he was in the army. i wrote the army about him.. was the united states army making pimps or soldiers... i got letter from us army j.a.g. unit / a colonel stated administrative action taken on this man, he was released from active duty and sent home..

Assuming this really happened...
He is married and knew what he was doing, so your action was not uncalled for. I personally wouldn't have taken that action, just from the situation above. It would have had to been something far more dramatic and deceitful before I would have even considered writing the Army. I hope you understood the consequences before writing and if you felt that is what you needed to do, then that is it. It would be really sad if you did it out of anger or to get back at him. Don't they usually have to go through a court martial? I don't know a lot of about the military, but I thought that was a process for the accused.
