if a woman was dating a man the same age as her son would you class it as a sin.

Don't see why it should be so as long as there's no violation of trust or consent. People can date whoever they want as long as they aren't deliberately leading the other party along a dead end; as long as the relationship is a friendly and/or romantic one, it's absolutely fine.

Not necessarily. I might classify it as silly or strange. Hopefully her son has left home. I have seen that happen by the way - only in that case there was definite sin involved (deceit, breaking up of a family, etc.).
I would feel the same thing for a man dating a woman the same age as his daughter.
There is a big difference between what is sin, and what we might think is foolish.

It may not be a sin, but the society may not accept that as normal. We have to understand why this is happening, is it for love i mean serious love or is it for money, is it for sexual gratification or is it for good company?

Whatever the case, consider that what may not ne accepted by the society may not always be sin, secondly, if they are seriously in love and living beyond reproach seeking to be married fearing God, then there may be nothing wrong with it, but I may not approve of it.

Beyond the veil, for most cases, such cases are for sexual gratification, and therefore sinful before God.

No... merely distasteful... since at 61, with sons aged 43 and 23, I would never, could never do it, heavens, his mum may have breast fed him and changed his nappies, in the bed next to mine after birth... ugh, pass the sick bag someone!

I find it completely distasteful... and... I'm no oldie looking oldie... I get chatted up a lot by very young males... and was chatted up two days ago, by a nineteen years old checkout lad... just because I took the time to talk and laugh and make him relax and smile... I did it with mothering in mind... he took it another way! I fortunately, don't get turned on unless he's got the same amount of facial lines as me... and, I have the decency to know not to use someone, to put my ageing hangups on!

I laughed and laughed and split my sides inside my car, as I drove away... so much so, i related it to my dog and she joined in the mirth! What a sight we must have looked to other drivers.

At the same time, I felt physically sick, at the thought that lovely youngsters, who could be my grandchildren (my eldest is 24) should be so frightened of girls their own age, that they need to chase a great granny!

But mostly, I felt angry with the world today... angry that we have created such a widespread sickness, that this is all our kids can think about today! For goodness sake, it's been happeningg since Eve... do you really think you invented sex... learned things we never did before you? Do you really think we didn't have our day... and then grow up? Well, some of us did anyway!

Most mature adults grow out of kids stuff... and out of kids inbed... however randy they might be... there's something much better with maturity, with someone whose mind shares all your memories and times... women my age despair of ever finding a sexually mature male these days, doubtful, they all seem to have hangups about mid like crisis... and need to go back in time. And womens lib' has merely made my sex the same... what a mess!

Go on... for goodness sake stay, grow up and stop fearing age, stick within your own age range, since no matter how you kid yourselves, your minds will never meet... and there is surely no fool quite like an old one... and no lost soul quite so lost and lonely and ripe for picking, as a child under 25!

What an awful future... since you can't and wont ever really stop pretending that it's love, especially not when it comes to sharing space, inside harsh daylight... no matter what you fool yourself about between the sheets!

Terribly sad!

Depends on how old the guy is. If he's 18 or older, then no since anyone his age would be of legal age to date and anything that happens can't be classified as statutary rape. Any younger, and it's illegal.

If Gods intention for us originally was to live forever in perfect health then there would be no getting old and dying, so i say it's not an issue.

No, unless her son is a minor (therefore the man in question would be).
