Because people are selfish. In saying "Go To Hell!" we are wishing that person death and eternity burning. If we were to say "Go To Heaven!" We would still be wishing them death and just a nicer eternity. Neither place exist. Just so you know for some of us the accepted version of Heaven would be Hell.I have no desire to be stuck for eternity with some of the people I see on here that are so sure they are heaven bound.

Good point. I personally don't think it's right for someone to say "go to hell" because you don't know if that person belongs there or not. Only God Knows.

Go To Heaven! =)

Already good answers here, but I'd add that "go to hell" is an angry CURSE. Go to Heaven is not a curse. Go to Heaven!

Go to heaven just doesn't roll off the tongue like go to hell does.

Because it involves dying. When happy you don't want people to die, even if they are going to go to Heaven. But when mad, you might want them to die...That's kind of part of the insult. Doesn't necessarily mean you'd kill them, but it gets the point across.

Actually they say God Bless. I think that means the same. But for effect I won't say God Bless this time.
Go to Heaven.

LOL, same reason people say "your goign to hell for not believing" but to other believers they dont say "your going to heaven for believing" they want to make it known that they want you in hell. doesnt seem very christian-like attitude to me.
