The soul does not die with the body. The Bible says that we should not fear man, who may kill the body, but fear God, who can kill the soul, which implies that man cannot kill the soul, only God on judgment day.

The soul lives on after the body for all eternity. When the Bible talks about the soul perishing in hell, this refers to the fact that a soul in hell does not experience growth and is forever separated from its creator God.

the soul of a person is a reality and is immortal, after the body dies it returns to its creator for judgement, and as the soul cannot die in the same way as the body it goes to its place of designation, i.e heaven or hell.

It depends on how you believe. I believe that a person's soul is their lifeforce. When they die the soul dies with them, because the soul was their life. I do not believe in an afterlife, therefore I do not believe that the soul is a seperate entity that lives on forever. To me that is just wishful thinking..."wouldn't it be nice if..."
