Because they're weak in the heart and mind!! Most have never had their cushy lives disrupted by anything other than a broken nail. The think a hard life is having to get up for work, or being called on sick days taken. They take freedom for granted, in general they suck.

War is not a solution for anything......as far as I can see this particular war has cost more of a problem than a solution. More people are dying for no reason.....please dont tell me it's for terrorist...the real terrorist is residing in the White House.....it's for money....and your lads like you said "cant wait to go" they have not been overseas yet.....lets see how they feel when they are actually over there and realize the real truth....

Its all unnecessary. the only beneficiaries are arms dealers. That's from someone who used to work in the industry.

War is only any good if people don't get killed all about you. You don't mess your pants under fire.
Why not question the veterans of the great war - you cannot be serious!

I reckon folks complain so much about the war, because you get abit sick of hearing about it all the time, fair enough if you want to fight good luck to you, but i would not like any son of mine being in the army, you can still do a good job for your country without being killed for nothing, which I think our boys are being killed these days.

I don't think people are moaning about the exciting life of being in the army. I think they are more moaning for the fact that war kills many of innocent people and cost a lot of money to their country. They are probably thinking of the fact they could take that money and use it in the country.

You are a very sad man. I have been there and it is not a good thing at all. I presume you are someone who think war exists just to give you the chance to "prove" you are a man? Grow up. (If war will let you that is, for some people never grow up who go to war)

Are you actually serious ? People, both military and innocent civilians get killed and maimed, property gets destroyed, and the very fabric of society is stripped away. If you think it is so much fun why don't you go ahead and stab yourself in the leg with a hot butcher knife to see how getting a piece of shrapnel feels and then imagine how much worse it would be on some other area's of your body

This lad can't wait to get back home to his wife that he hasn't seen but 2 weeks out of the year. Can't wait to be home, never wanted to leave!

Cause people are Lame...

People join the militaries to defend our country and our freedoms. They know in the case of a war, they will be called on upon to fight.

War in a lot of ways helps the economy and as harsh as this sounds, population control. Yes people die, but thats war.

I stand behind our stance in Iraq, where as I dont understand share the reason we are involved, we are infact involved so I support all the boys and girls in the dessert over there.

"an estimated 14billion people have died as a result of war since the start of recorded time.

there have only been around 20billion people since the start of recorded time"

Planet Earth's current population: appx 6.7 billion

Therefore, everyone who is not presently alive, died in war.

Wow, and I was told my grandpa died from lung cancer.
