You're assuming these people are capable of intelligent criticism.
I find it absolutely incredible that there are people on here saying things like "I've read the bible for 30 years and never found a contradiction." Either they're outright liars or garden-variety imbeciles.
I hate to cut and paste links, but it's better than cutting and pasting text. This list includes some of the more famous examples.
http://www.infidels.org/news/atheism/extra/bible-contradictions.html
And yeah, I know, it's got "infidels" and "atheism" in there, but I'd rather that than "watchtower." I'm NOT an "atheist" myself.
I also know that none of these examples really matter to the discussion - obviously! We're not going to "get to the bottom" of this debate. So-called "christians" display truly diabolical disingenuity when it comes to defending their own particular interpretations of these heavily edited translations of composite pseudepigraphical texts.

Contradiction? Try asking Christians if they believe that Adam and Eve were really the first two humans, and you'll get a split decision. Some will concede that it is now obvious that this was 'not really to be taken literally'. And there are contradictions in the different versions of the gospels.
And finally, the Bible is a contradiction to all other religions, because all religions believe that they are the one true one. Common sense tells you that they're all wrong.

The Bible should be taken literally because it is factual. It has been proven time and time again that it does not contradict itself when you take the time to read it in the proper context of the book your reading and taking into consideration the culture of the time.
If you think it contradicts itself why didn't you list examples? I think you'll find if you return to the passages that you thought were contradicting and read them in their full context you draw the same conclusion as others, there is no contradictions in the Bible.

People who say the bible doesn't contradict itself don't actually read the book. These people have been brainwashed since they were kids and now they are doing it to their own kids.
Before all you religious freaks get your panties in a wad, think about it.You go to church and PAY someone to tell you what a book means when it's been interpreted in English for many years. If your faith was so strong you wold not make a con artist take your money just to tell you what you want to hear.
Read the book the way it is written. Also, let your children decide for themselves what to believe.

The bible will always contradict itself to people who have a hard time believing,or don't believe for the simple fact most of the time they will take the scripture out of context.

If you look for contradictions in the bible then yes you will find them, but only by taking things out of context and not fully understanding the entire message of the bible.
I would however say that using certain translations will lead you to beleive it is contradictory due to inaccurate translation.
And again, if you are aware of these translations and realise that men translated them, then they are only imperfect men.
I recently went to a website www.godisimaginary.com and it is extremely obvious here that what the site says is inaccurate and the bible is misunderstood by the webmaster and taken out of context, therefore this site spreads lies.
