Scottish & Newcastle own the brand name "Bulmers" in England, so when Bulmers Ireland wanted to launch their Cider here they had to choose another name...

In the USA Bulmers is identified as English cider; Magners as an Irish cider. Different products, different packages. I think I read something about Budweiser being an investor in Magners, too.

Bulmers ciderv has been around in the uk for as long as i have been drinking ,and thats more years than i care to remember,magners is in fact prduced by bulmers also but in more of a rose form ,quite weak really and more like watered down pee water.ideal for the ladies and young drinkers new to the craft

Not sure but you can now buy Bulmers in the UK i have seen it sitting right next to the Magners in my local shop

Bulmers is produced in Hereford, Magners is produced in Ireland in my opinion they are two different companies in fact Bulmers origional was advertised in todays Daily Mirror

Magners is the american brand name for bulmers. Its common practise within the Industry to take more market share by distributing products across brandnames.

It's a rebrand to make more money and to make people think that the Irish invented cider. It's bullcrap, and it's not even very good cider.

Its not. They're two different drinks. You can get both in the UK
