I suppose Indian stores would be a good place to find henna, but I have also seen henna for sale in The Body Shop

If you mean the henna for dying hair, it is available at most beauty supply stores, even Sally Beauty Supply. It usually comes in a cakey powder clay form that you can mix with water, coffee, or other liquids. Be careful though, henna is a metallic dye as opposed to a vegetable dye and is more difficult to work with.

Whole Foods and stores like that often have real henna (sold by weight from a bulk section) but the best selection I found was at Rainbow Grocery in San Francisco.
