if you don't want teflon, then alternatives to non-stick are:
1) cast iron - be sure to warm it up before putting the food on it.

2) stainless steel - again, the trick is to make sure your pan is sufficiently hot before placing ingredients on it. if it is meat or fish, then let the meat/fish brown before moving it in the pan. this will form a "crust" that prevents adhesion.

you don't need fancy, expensive stainless steel pans. I got a great deal by going to my local Smart & Final (be sure it is stainless steel and NOT aluminum).

3) if you're trying to avoid fluorocarbons (and for health purposes you should), then you need to check with the manufacturer because even some of the titanium pans, not just teflon, include PFC.

Hard anadozied aluminum pans offer a good nonstick finish to cook on, try Calphalon Commercial for really high quality.
A properly seasoned cast iron skillet will last forever, but they are very heavy and can be hard to lift with food in them.
T-fal is just a brand name for a teflon coated pan. You can get almost any type of pan with a teflon coating, the majority of these will flake over time. Always use wood or nylon utensils to keep this from happening. Never use metal utensils in a nonstick pan!
Ceramic or acrylic lined pans are nonstick to a point. The best type is a copper pan with a ceramic liner or dish inside it. It will heat evenly and food will not stick.

Yes, Tefal does use teflon in their pans.

I don't like washing dishes either. But I find that stainless steel actually cleans up fairly easily, if you know how to handle it. While the pan is still hot, put a couple of drops of dish detergent and some water in it. Most of the dirt will break loose right then, and not stick or hard-dry. And if you've got cooked-on grease that doesn't want to come loose, use baking soda and a scrubby sponge.

Good luck!

Go with the first answer. Get some cast iron pans and learn how to season them properly. They can last for generations. Many teflon or other non stick pans scratch and lose their finish.

You don't need to be an expert to tell how good the nonstick coating is in the cookware you're choosing. All you have to do is rub your fingers back and forth along the surface. If you feel tiny ridges, put it back on the shelf. Those ridges indicate that the manufacturer rolled the coating on, so there's probably one layer. A good nonstick finish is absolutely smooth, because it's been sprayed on in the correct sequence and properly cured

T-fal was a "mistake" from Boeing. It was actually an improvement over teflon, because you truly could cook it it without the need for butter or oil.
Do they still sell T-fal pans?
