I asked a question regarding diaosaurs a while back and got the most amazing answer. It's not exactly an answer to the question you asked but I think you'll love this.

"Jesus, God, and the Holy Spirit are One. In Genesis it says that the Fallen angels (teraphim) took on human form and had sex with the daughters of men. They produced giant offspring called nephilium (singular: nephal), who were not created by God. "A demon is the disembodied soul of a dead nephal...Demons always seek to reside in something living; they'll readily choose animals if no humans are available." From Devils and Demons and the Return of the Nephilium, by John Klein and Adam Spears (2005) p 95.
I believe it is possible that the fallen angels also had sex with animals, resulting in corruption of the genetics. Some dinosaurs survived the flood, perhaps some were even on the ark with Noah. But after the flood came an ice age which the dinosaurs could not live through. "

The waters and the land were covering the whole earth. Who was going to cut the grass?
The dinosaurs. They were useful to keep the vegetation under control. But when mankind were wiped off the earth in Noah's day the dinosaurs were drowned too. At first the whole earth was a garden. It had never rained. There was a water canopy around the whole globe. The water canopy burst and drowned disobedient mankind and Noah and his family survived in the Ark. The dinosaurs of the deep survived. And when the canopy burst and fell to the ground it pushed up mountains and created the canyons and valleys. That is why the dinosaurs were found in the icy mountaintops with tropical food in their mouth.

Well God has over time shown himself to be a bit of a sadist, if you believe the Bible. He placed a curse upon all mankind for all time for the acts of 2 people,he built a place of eternal torment for anyone who was foolish enough to not believe in what they could not see,or for following the basic instincts that he gave us. He built the world that was supposed to be a Haven for his children, and then released what is supposedly the most evil creature in existence upon it,in other words Satan. So should it be surprising that he would first create a race of gigantic beings whos entire purpose was to eat, breed, then fight and die horrible bloody deaths for his amusement. And then as thanks for a couple million years of amusing his base desire to witness destruction,he simply crashed a rock the size of manhattan into the Earth at 30,000 miles per hour totally altering the ecology of most of the planet for a period long enough to ensure their slow agonizing end, seems they had to suffer even in that, because God loves all creatures great and small.

We don't know, God hasn't told us, anyway what would be the point of us knowing? Oh and by the way the law about not lifting a finger on the sabbath was made up by the pharasies, Jesus picked grain on the sabbath (which was considered working) which shows he was against the law.

So God considered the dinosaurs a mistake? So God can make mistakes? Wow.

So much for omnipotence.

Marduk created the dinosaurs; when Jehovah purchased the earth from Marduk, he destroyed the dinosaurs because he was self-conscious and needed people to worship him.

he didnt just think, hey i think today is a good day to get rid of those pesky dinosaurs. it is thought that after the flood there was not enough vegetation for food and the climate change was so different that they didnt adapt and slowly died out.
