....of getting my child back into public school? I took her out in 6th grade due to a medical issue. She is much better now 2 years later and would like to go back to school. What will I need to do if anything, except of course re-enroll her? Will she need to take a placement or aptitude test? Will I need to show all her homeschooling papers, grades or curriculum? She is doing a computer program school ordered from a christian company, so that is no problem, I just want to know what to do and what to expect?

Actually, the decision belongs to the school district and not the principals at each individual school (at least that is true in my state)
You are going to find it quite easy to get her back in while still in middle school, as the process can become more complicated once she is in highschool (again, for my state)
Make sure you understand your rights and responsibilites as a homeschool parent. At this stage, you may not be required to show any proof of any work done, but a misinformed principal could have you jumping through hoops unnecessarily. Check the HSLDA first, then go to the school district website to check the requirements for a transfer student, which I think you would qualify to be considered, then take it from there, talking with the principal last and after you have gathered all the correct information for your situation. If you have a state wide homeschool coalition, they would be a great source of info for you as well.
good luck

Contact both the district office and the school your daughter will be enrolling in. They can tell you what the process is and what documentation they may need. These can vary from placement testing to submitting a portfolio of her work and a copy of the curriculum you have used to contacting the curriculum company to verify it's use (especially true if the curriculum you used provided teacher assesments and test scoring). In any case, there process will more than likely require some time to complete, so get the information as soon as you can so you have plenty of time to prepare.

If it is accepted and sanctioned by way of the state it is respectable. Remember, if you are proceeding to visit College there will likely be placement assessments for Math and English and the ones can have the last say in how well you probably did in homschool You too can pay to take the ACT and SAT with the intention to ALSO exhibit how good you probably did. You too can pay to take a Stanford or equivalent scan at a college below supervision and THAT will exhibit how good you probably did. You too can pay to take the GED that is as well. YOu too can sign up for an accepted online college taht presents diplomas and do a last semeister taking a couple of categories to qualify. A lot is dependent. In NY for instance, you HAVE to have a Dipolma or GED to visit even a neighborhood College. In California all you wish to have be to visit neighborhood tuition is eighteen years ancient or a top college graduate, whichever comes first. Once you are taking a semesiter in COLLEGE you'll rightlyfull positioned SOME COLLEGE or circle thirteen at the employment packages.

Requirements vary from state to state - check with your state Education Agency for information. Then you will know the requirements if the school gives you any problems.

Well whatever school you choose to enroll her in has their own sets of rules about what they would like. You are best to ask the Principal of the school.
