It's all in the way the person handles it....you can either have sour lemons, or make lemonade with what you have....I choose to make lemonade!

You should never look at what other people have. You might think they are blessed and then one day, whammo, something horrible happens and so what for all the years and all the blessing when something terrible happens and you lose a child or a husband or a mother or something. Besides, life can change on a dime for anybody.

Maybe you are the one who is blessed but just can't see it becasue you are so busy envying what other people seemingly have.

What good are material possessions in the grand scheme of things. They don't make you happy. YOU are the only person who can make you happy.

Read "The purpose drive life" and watch "What the bleep are we here for" and see what a difference you can make to yourself and the way you think/feel about things.

Some are so filthy rich but hey, would you REALLY want to live their life? No thanks.

Because nature is arbitrary in how it endows people with certain gifts such as beauty, temperament and health and we are not able to choose our parentage. Life is simply unfair and men unequal except in one respect: the dignity of the human soul. It is what it is, my friend. If I had my way I'd look 20, be in perfect health, have the wisdom of a 40 year old, be a famous novelist, and be married to a gorgeous, loyal, rich guy who loved me to death. Why does someone else deserve this any more than me? Some have worked hard and have it; others didn't have to work hard to get it. Why indeed? The best you can do is take charge of yourself and try to get the best you can out of life with whatever gifts you were given instead of bemoaning your fate.

My main issue with that question is YOU NEVER KNOW. They could be smiling and happy on the outside and unravelling on the inside. Some people's problems and issues just don't manifest themselves.

People always thought I had a great life with a great husband and they always told me I was so cute and happy, but really I was completely miserable for the longest time with depression and eating disorders. So you never know.

Everyone goes through bad times....it's how you handle it that makes you either a survivor or a victim. If you have that victim mentality, then you feel like no one loves you, everyone is against you, nothing goes right for you, etc.

Don't be a victim.
