In my present relationship, I was told, "I love you" several times before I ever said it back; and when I did, it just kinda slipped out. I knew I loved the guy, but I was scared. Like I told him, "Once it is said, it can't be taken back. WE have been together over 5 years and have a 4 year old son. Good Luck!!!!

I have never said it first. I often feel it first, but keep my mouth shut because it has scared guys off.

however, my husband told me he loved me 2 weeks after our first kiss. I hyperventilated and did NOT reply in kind. He was OK with it, he wanted to know I was saying it because I meant it, not as a knee-jerk reaction to him saying it first. I said it 2 days later.

we were engaged 4 months after that, married 4 months after THAT.

My current BF told me after a few months of dating him that he loved me and wanted to spend the rest of his life with me ... I waited a little longer - I've been married before and my last BF died in a car accident ... so I've been trying to take things slow ... I know deep down in my heart he's the one ... and I've never felt so " In Love " before ... it's more than I can ever imagine ... !

I told my boyfriend 2 months after we were together, although a month before that he told me he told me he loved me but at that time those feelings hadn't developed enough for me to say "I love you." I told him then because my feelings began to become stronger for him and I couldn't keep it in anymore so I told him. And of course he said it back.

This relationship it was 4 months into it and I did love him when we said it. He said it to me on my birthday when we were being intimate and it was one of the best nights. To this day it still puts a smile on my face.

My husband said "I love you" first. I knew I was in love with him, but didn't want to freak him out so I just waited until he said it and then I said it back.
