More U.S. Troops May Be Needed In Baghdad
Casey cites need to bolster Iraqi capital's security plan

By New York Times.

Gen. George Casey, the top U.S. commander in Iraq, and U.S. Ambassador to Iraq Zalmay Khalilzad answer questions during a press conference at the heavily fortified Green Zone in Baghdad, Iraq, on Tuesday. Casey said Iraqi forces should be able to take full control of security in the country within the next 18 months with minimal American support.

Baghdad — The top American military commander said the USA is having a terrible time winning the Iraq war due to the insurgents fighting like there is no tomorrow. The USA military was fooled into believing the war would be easy. Bush should feel ashamed. The USA will end up like Vietnam. All will suffer defeat due to not learning the lessons of long ago.

Here you were going good erudite... recent questions without fabricated articles... and yet you HAD to go right back to it...

This article is NOT on the NY Times web site... it contains your typical fabricated lines such as : "The USA military was fooled into believing the war would be easy.", "Bush should feel ashamed.", etc.....

The only article that mentions the line "Casey said Iraqi forces should be able to take full control of security in the country within the next 18 months with minimal American support." has none of your normal fabricated lines..... That article is linked in my source section....

quit the crap... you are exposed again

I think the answer lies in the wear-out time of the Army Uniform...

As it turns out every three months a soldier is authorized a new unifom while deployed. Six months in they get Boot replacements. Boots take a beating here. Lets see how long your tennis shoes would hold up here!

I hope to god that we are not there another 18 months. My god are we going to wait until bush is out of office before all our troops get to come home. This whole iraq business makes me sick.If we are having such a terible time then why are all our troops not home yet? well this gives you food for thought. Good luck and god bless.

They may need more boots in iraq since they probably wore out their existing boots. I wore out the soles in my boots when I was in the Marines. They usually issue two sets of boots to recruits in boot camp. I usually have a dress pair of boots for special occasions and inspections, and a working pair of boots for daily use. I bought several pairs of boots when I was in the fleet.
