In Revelations, Paul describes the message he receives in his dream of the final coming. He mentions the daughter of Babylon, which has been interpreted by many societies to mean the USA. However this is believed to be mostly conspiracy theory.
Most biblical scholars believe this to be Vatican City as Babylon was the great city prior to Rome, and the Vatican city had been established as its own country in the time of Babylon. Land from Babylonian times came at a high price and the sectioning off of this land came from (what is believed to be 4 other countries). As the Babylonian "section" was the largest, the Vatican can be seen as the "Daughter" of the country.
This explanation also make more sense in the time line of history as Rome was considered a great threat to Christianity (especially early Christianity), and to many Christians who were witnessing family and friends being slaughtered by the cattle car at that time, it truly was the end of time.

Babylon was the first international city, where all the religions of
the world were followed.
They don't want to hear it. But Great Babylon is ALL of mans
organized religions.
All of which are based on spiritual truths, but have gone their
own ways, according to the wisdoms of men. And create
DIVISION in the BODY of CHRIST!

In our church, we believe that (prophetic, not literal) Babylon, which is also called "the Beast" in prophecy, is the Catholic Church. The book of Revelation speaks of her having "harlot daughters" who are just as bad as she is. These "harlot daughters" are all the Sunday-keeping Protestant churches in America and worldwide. They claim to be Protestant, but they still retain elements of Catholicism that are not supported by Scripture. It is believed that the "image to the Beast" is Protestant America. (A "beast" represents a world power.) This image to the Beast will at some time in the future force the entire world to worship the first Beast. It is believed that the United States at some point will force the world to observe Sunday, in line with Catholic doctrine. In fact, the US is pretty buddy-buddy with the Vatican even today! Did you see how many heads-of-state attended the last Pope's funeral? Why does that church have an ambassador to every nation? Reagan and the Pope brought down the Iron Curtain. The Catholic Church has admitted that they would love nothing less than to rule the world again as they did in the Dark Ages. Despite the passage of time, that goal has not changed. Recent Popes have denounced our Constitution (because it separates the power of the state from the Church.) At the Vatican, church and state are one. IT WOULD BE ALL FAITH OTHER THEN WHAT THE REAL GOD YHWH SAID IS TO NOT BE BABYLON. FROM READING THE BIBLE I CAME TO CONCLUSION THAT WHEN GOD SPOKE OF BABYLON OR EGYPT THEY WERE ALL FORM OF FAKE WORSHIP UNDER THE RULE OF GOD. PLACE OF MANY DIFFERENT BELIEVE OF WORSHIP IS FOR EXAMPLE EARTH TODAY WOULD BE CONSIDERED BABYLON OR EGYPT.
