How can one believe in Bible that was written by mankind atleast 100 years after Christ died? How does one believe in a God that allows hatred/diease/poverty/depression/murder? How can one believe in a God that allowed people to violently put his word on to other cultures. The Bible only takes place in the Middle East....How do we know that we're right? God didn't come to this side of the world...Not peacefully....How do we know that some other religion isn't real? ;)

Please read my words carefully:
If you see footmark in the sand, you'll say that someone passed from here...
If you see a piece of dog sh*t on the ground, you'll say that a dog passed from here...
So what about the enormous universe, the sky, stars, planets, earth and all the beauty in it, doesn't it lead to that someone made it?!!!

Some people say that everything is created by itself after the big-bang... I won't ask you about what caused the big-bang, but I'll ask you a simple question:
If you take all the letters of the alphabet, multiples of them, and you threw them randomly on the floor. Do you expect (by a chance of one in infinity) to get a poem like shakespear's??!!

Can't you see how organized our universe is, the planets, the eco-system on earth, look even in your own body... Can you control your heart-beat? Can you control your breath while you're sleeping? Who stopped your eye-lashes from growing after reaching a certain length? Who told the baby turtles to move towards the sea and not to the earth after they come out of their eggs? Who taught the bird how to make nests?

My friend, think with your heart and brain. If you're still lost, think about the following:

Do you know how to play safe?
Your point:
If there's no God and you do all what you want in life, then nothing will happen to you after life. But if there was God and you were mistaken, then you'll blame yourself FOREVER...

Believer's point:
If there's God and I followed His commands in life, then I'll be in Heaven after life FOREVER. But if there was no God and we're mistaken, then nothing bad will happen to us after life...

Now you know how to play-safe, in case you're not convinced?

You can't possibly go outside, look around and say there is no God. Not everyone reads, studies or even believes in the bible...it may be a wise book but it could very well be a written documentation of how to live. At the time it was written the areas around the Mediterranean was the center of the universe. How do you know that God did not come to this part of the world. The Mormons would tell you otherwise.
All religions are real to the people who belong and believe in them.

Whenever I look around me, I can't accept that everything I see is here only by chance. There has to be something or someone as a cause behind it all. My daughter told that to me when she was 6. "How can people say there's not a God? Just look around at everything."

I don't know why God allows everything to happen, but he does allow everyone to make his/her own choices, good or bad. Some people misuse God or His purpose to try to force opinions on others, to kill others, to steal things from others. Those people will pay a price some day for their wrongdoings.

I know that God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are real because I can *feel* the presence of them in my life. I don't have my Bible handy, but it says somewhere: Be still and know that I am God. In other words, stop yapping for a minute and just be quiet and let God speak to you. When you choose to listen, you can hear.

Someone can write something today that has God's hand in it. It doesn't matter if the Bible was written 1 million years ago, 2000 years ago, or 5 minutes ago. It's God speaking to us, no matter which language you speak, where you live, or which translation of the Bible you happen to have. Listen for Him. He's speaking to you always, but you have to stop and pay attention to hear!

Blessings to all!

Well, that's a good question Bird, belief is manditory when it comes to any religion ..It's what you believe that's key when it comes to religious afilliation, and if you aren't ok with denominations then it's if u believe that's important. I believe in following Christ whole-heartedly and dnt get why God chose the area he did for the Bible to have it's origin, because it's the center of the face of the globe? Perhaps it's not at all important why God chose that place, but rater more importantly that the Gosple be spead peacably not violently and without force.

The Bible was written by men and men are flawed and biased, that shouldn't be the only thing that determines your faith. God can't magically save us all, there is supposed to be suffering in this world, and the ones who live through and still have faith are the strongest. If everything was perfect on earth, there would be no need for heaven. You're right, I questioned Christianity too, and I think no one knows if Jesus is really the son of God, or just one of his prophets. I just have faith in God and put that above the rest. The bible, church, prophets, etc., all those details should be in the background and shouldn't determine if we go to heaven or not.

How could you not? The Bible, like other Holy books, is a guide complied by men. Use it to grow, but don't just use it- read everything. The physical world is also what it is, we are here to grow and overcome- sometimes cruel and harsh things happen, but that is not part of God's spiritual realm. They overlap and affect each other but are separate. You cannot judge (you shouldn't anyway) by the hard things in life. How could there not be a higher power with all the perfection also?

Well, I believe in god, just not *your* god...

Please expand your mind a bit. There are a wide variety of beliefs out there, and only some of them involve the biblical "god".

The bible is a book, written by men. If you want to know god, you're going to have to look further than what you've been told.

Because God the almighty is the one who created this world and all that exist in this world. What make U feel suspicious of the existence of God? Is it because U could not see God with your naked eye ? If that is so, think carefully. Do U belief there is wind around us ? Can U see the wind? Off course the answer is obviously NO. But we can feel the existence of wind. As such, do U belief wind exist ? so do to God.

I was taught at an early age not to question GOD and the way things are on this Earth, I have a personal relationship with him based on my personal belief, my faith, and things that I saw and experienced first hand that reaffirms my faith that indeed there is a GOD, for example my maternal grandparents raised from the time of my birth because my mother was shot in her head and the bullet stayed lodged there, which I am a miracle because A.) they hospital told my family that she might not make it through the night and if she did she might not ever walk again or worse yet stay in a vegated state. However the prayers came and not only did she live she gave birth to me. My mother, after my grandparents started raising me turned to drugs, I mean she was well enough and capable enough to take care of herself, emotionally she was never the same, she was partially paralized so she dragged her leg, and that bullet never was removed from her head but other that that she was still the life of the party. My grandparents where quite religious and they always prayed that my mother would get her life together for they feared that she would die at anytime and their concern was for her soul. She had many near death experiences abd all the while they would be like "You need to get your life together" after My grandparents got up in age, my mother sisters decided that my mother should move back home with my grandparents. I was grown and on my own and had given my mother a grandson. Up into the day my grandfather died he prayed and laid hands on his children and grand and greatgrand. 3 months later my grandmother passed after that my mother got saved "For Real" !! the tithing, faithful attendance, joining church auxilaries, and what-not. 3 months later my mother passed. We always knew that she could go at anytime but 30 years later? nothing short of a miracle to me! I went from helping her pay off debts to drug dealers to looking in her purse after she pass at her having over 200 hundred in cash! And having her very own pastor knock on the door, Him giving her a proclamation that was a blessing! I know I might be a little bit off base her but man! That happened 3 years ago and my son and me get lonely sometimes cause it is just him and me but to know the there actually is somebody that watches over over us makes it a bit bearable! And about the Bible, scrolls have been kept since the begining of time it was just about how it was assembled, it is also a widely argued topic that some books are actually omitted. And about the things you mentioned that is the drawback of living in a sinful and greedy world, that was for told wars rumours of wars, and as far as the middle east is concerned what about the tower of Babel when they were trying to build up into heaven and God stopped them and changed their language, or even the begats who did not get their story told. I have been exposed to a variation of religions, but I knew in my heart that it is tried and true and not to my knowledge has anyone put Christianity off on anyone. People where getting killed for believing in it.

1. They were brainwashed to believe in God before they could think for themselves

2. By the time they are old enough to think for themselves, the believe in God has become a culture and they would be bias towards any opposing belief

3. They say it's a choice, but not really. Their parents chose it for them. Most people don go against the cuture they were raised in
