I have straighter-than-straight shoulder length hair. It was once cut into a "Bob" hair style but it's growing out. I don't have bangs and I have 2 kids to get off to school each day....so I don't have lots of time to mess with it....help!

Get it layered and get one of those side bangs and part your hair to one side! It works for me! Also when you get out of the shower blow dry your hair upsidedown. It helps to add volume and throw a little gel in there and there ya go! Straight hair is beautiful but this adds to the beauty! Hope this helps!

I think we're in the same situation...just that I'm almost twelve, so I have to get ready for school pretty quickly in the morning.I have shoulder length very strait hair too. What I do is that I either leave it down parted on the side or tie it up really tight(mostly when it's dirty).
P.S.Being only eleven I don't know if you will take my advice seriously, but I think it's good

Run somewhat straightening serum via you're hair on a similar time because it is damp and blast it with a hair dryer till the roots of your hair are dry, then placed your hair into 3 french braids (one on the back and one on the two area) them sleep on it over evening and interior the morning take out the braids and you shall have beautiful wavy hair :D Oh yet once you're desiring greater looser waves then in basic terms do one french braid on the two area of your head :D wish this facilitates, I try this with my hair all of the time and that i'm getting a lot of compliments on it :) x

do a side bang. buy a 1 1/2 inch curling iron and curl your hair. make the curls go towards the back. it would look really nice. afer a while it will give you a wavy look, because the curls will drop.

Get a long spiral perm. You will love it. You crunch it or blow it out. Easy to take care of.
