Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich
1. Start with good beef such as Rib Eye.
2. Shave the beef very thin so it cooks quickly and remains tender.
3. Use a fresh high quality Italian roll - Amoroso’s is a favorite.
4. Decide if you want your steak with or without fried onions.
5. Decide if you want a steak or a cheesesteak. If you elect a cheesesteak you need to decide on American cheese, provolone or the Philly favorite "cheez whiz".
6. Any add-ons? Mushrooms, peppers, pizza sauce, tomatoes? You decide. It’s your sandwich.
7. Start to cook. Sauté the onions, peppers and mushrooms until soft.
8. Fry your steak until brown but not crispy or burned. You can mix in the fried vegetables now or add them at the end.
9. If you elect American cheese or provolone place the cheese on the meat until slightly melted. If you choose Cheez Whiz just smear it on the roll.
10. Place the roll over the meat/cheese/vegetables and scoop it into the sandwich.
11. Garnish your sandwich with pizza sauce, hot or sweet peppers or pickles as you choose.
12. Enjoy your Philadelphia cheesesteak.

Well heres an idea, seems to be hot for this fall saw it on Rachel Ray's 30 minute meals and Nigella Feasts:
How about a nice turkey chilli (put some heat on it)
Or some split pea soup -
Here's the recipe for the split pea soup.....
Just added some vegatable broth to a bag of frozen peas and cut three scallions in half...bring them to a boil for about 10 minutes.
After the peas are done, remove the scallions (they are just added to infuse flavor)
Put peas into blender and cut up a round of mozarella cheese to add to blender as well.
Blend/Puree and put that in big mugs and serve with some warm bread of choice....
I tried it a few nights ago and it was absolutely delish and I dont even like peas, so I was impressed. For the turkey chilli you can get a great recipe for that or cornbread topped chilli from Nigella's website.
Good Luck....

The way to a man's heart is through his stomach, someone once said and someone else said men love savory foods, so why not try something like:
Pork Roast with Cranberries
This sweet and tart recipe for pork roast cooked in your crockpot is delicious and so easy - with just five ingredients!
INGREDIENTS:
1 (2-1/2 lb.) boneless pork shoulder roast
1 cup sweetened dried cranberries
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup cranberry juice cocktail
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
PREPARATION:
Trim fat from pork shoulder roast. Place in 3-1/2-4 quart slow cooker. Combine cranberries, broth, 1/4 cup of the cranberry juice cocktail, and salt and pepper in a small bowl. Pour over roast. Cover and cook on low for 7-9 hours.
When done, place roast on platter and cover with foil to keep warm. Pour juices from crockpot into medium saucepan. Combine remaining 1/4 cup cranberry juice cocktail with cornstarch in small bowl and mix well. Add to juices in saucepan and cook and stir until thickened and bubbly, about 3 minutes. Serve with pork roast. 6 servings

Maybe chicken stuffed with cheese and vegetables or some sort of pasta dish like lasagna or manicotti. A Mexican fiesta would be great, as well. Nothin' beats mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, a salad, some bread or biscuits, and a nice steak or pork chop nevertheless.

CHICKEN MARSALA - In first frying pan, Cut boneless chicken into chunks or strips, coat with flour and cook in butter until all sides just start to brown, set aside. In second frying pan, melt butter and add fresh sliced mushrooms (lots) and cook until they just start to soften, add generous amount of Marsala wine and a couple of finely diced garlic cloves and cook for three minutes. Add chicken from first pan and cook until sauce thickens (flour from chicken will thicken sauce), Add a small spritz more Marsala wine ( to refresh Marsala wine flavor) and serve immediately.

I'm thinking of having baked chicken (in a seasoned cooking bag), au gratin potatoes, and steamed broccoli.
Or, Ribeye steak, baked sweet potato with butter and cinnamon, piece of garlic toast, and a green salad.

Ya get some jumbo shrimp cook them in butter and garlic in a saucepan....take the shrimp out and then crank the heat as you peel the shrimp so the sauce reduces...add some milk to it as well to cream it up. Serve it over BASMATI rice. put shrimp on, then pour sauce on top. sprinke dried parsley around edge of plate and a bit on top of the meal..VOILA!!
