Not an argument about the healthiness or unhealthiness of blood transfusions . Just info about "bleeding to death" If a person is bleeding to death, that person doesn't necessarily need a blood transfusion. First, the bleeding needs to be stopped. If a person is losing blood, pouring more blood into them may just mean more blood to be lost. Once the bleeding has stopped, then it can be determined if the problem is a clotting issue, etc., If the patient then actually needs to replace lost blood, there are fluids & medications that can replace or increase blood volume or that can induce the body to do what it normally does on its own, produce blood. The circumstance of killing someone in self defense has nothing to do with accepting or refusing a blood transfusion. Just another clouded attempt at confusing bible principles I do "personally" argue the point that it is not the refusal of a blood transfusion that necessarily kills a person. A person dies because of respiratory or circulatory failure. They are no longer breathing or their heart is not beating. BTW Many people have died to remain faithful to Jehovah's principles and purposes. The foremost one was Jesus Christ.

Killing should only be your last choice in an event like this.

Killing by itself is always objectively wrong, but yes, there are times when it is an acceptable action, specifically when it is necessary to prevent another wrong, like rape in this case.

It would only be ok to kill another person if no other option is available to you at the time.

I am saying this as a Christian, but mostly as a human being who values life and its protection.

Wow....hard question. I think each has to decide this for themselves. Many factors have to be considered. The law would say and I believe most christians would agree, that you have to consider is ife being threaten. I personally would beat the snot out of him but then let the law punish him. Even being a christian I do not know if I could contain myself from lashing out. To kill is another matter. One never really knows what they will do in a moment of insanity

Yes, if you can't stop yourself. I'm not sure if capital punishment is in proportion with the crime of rape, but I think a person would go a little crazy under those circumstances.

Nope, your the one that would have to answer to God. I wouldn't kill anyone for what he has gone though. He will be punished in the long run. I was rapped as well, but I would never want to see my husband suffer the rest of his life because of me. You shouldn't put that burden on your wife, she will need you. Good luck.

No. In fact if you did nothing I would be more offended. If some one comes in my house and threatens my children, my husband, myself, or even my pets, i will protect them and defend them with no prejudice and I am a very good shot. My father was a Green Beret and he only had daughters so he passed on his love on shooting to us. It would be a very bad day for someone.

not mine. if someone raped my wife/daughter id kill the bastard too, or at least beat his ****. if god of the bible can justify killing 42 children for calling a man "baldheaded" or commanding a woman be stoned for blaspheming... then i think this can be justified as well. lol
