everyone's idea and definition of 'worship' are different. When I say it , I don't mean that you pray to yourself or sing your own praises or anything like that- it just means that you put your ways, ideas, standards, etc, above anything that might be considered a higher power. you are your own god, meaning you define your own moral codes, set your own standards and make your own rules for your life. You refuse to submit to an authority that does not fit into your own idea of what is practical and reasonable. Most refuse to accept the fact that just because it is not practical and reasonable to them that it is still a possibility- most atheists are the ultimate authority in their lives- what makes sense to them goes and what does not goes out the window for no further consideration- this makes them their own god.
The constant stating that atheists are 'rational' observers while implying that believers are irrational is an example- you are not so omnipotent that you know what goes on in the mind of a believer, that oyu understand the thought processes and what is and is not understood to judge if they are rational or not, you can only use your own thought processes as your basis to judge and unfortunately you are not objective about your own thought processes. Most believers are rational objective observers also- they have just observed something that remains hidden to you.

in essence we all belief in something and that belief is a form of worship. IF I believe in education and my knowledge then I believe in myself and my ability. Thus I am my own god. As for self worship one would hail the knowledge they have and their ability to decide fate for their life. Whereas theist believe these things with the belief they do not know all things and they trust God more than themselves

Many theists are very poor observers, specially those who shut their minds to the world with the Bible....

Because I'm a God in my own mind. It's less crazy to worship yourself than your imaginary friend.

I'm afraid your post is not going to change 2000 years of lies about unbelievers, that are told in churches.
