Are the actions of God rightious simply because you call him God?
Should you not question the morality of such a being?
You can't say God is good simply because he is God.

Take away the name for a moment. If an entity/being came to earth and killed every man, woman, child, and animal on the planet because they felt like it, wouldn't you think that to be wrong? If Hitler claimed to be God and deemed Jews evil that wouldn't change the fact that he committed genocide. Why should we hold "God" to any less standard?

Even if that entity "created" us does that give them the right?
My parents had a hand in creating me. But that doesn't give them ownership to my being. They don't have the right to my existence.

Should we not question the morality of "God"? Is he even worthy of worship? There are so many examples in the Bible where if you take out the name God you would think these acts were done by an evil being.

I submit that actions are not Godly simply because you call somethiing God.

i keep asking that too. claiming gods 100% pure and holy, when it says in the bible he created evil, he killed thousands of people, he killed women and children, he gave people power to kill others... and in all reality, satan has never killed a person. infact i want to know where it shows satan as doing something devestating to man, (and by this i mean without gods permission, and it be something more then tempting jesus with food in the desert - in all reality giving someone food in the desert is a bit more on the nice si e?) *shrug* the bible explains god as a higher evil then satan. (being that satan cannot commit an act unless god says its ok?)

I grew up in a strict southern baptist home. I doubt I will have the answer to your question but I will say what I can. The bible was altered by king james and words were changed to suit the times. My faith in God is absolute. Just because I believe in him doesn't mean I always agree with his actions but I cannot condemn him without looking at the specific subject. I can give you no proof of his existence but if we look at our own actions, we also, cannot call ourselves good. Even Jesus lost his temper. I think it is interesting that you would use hitler as an example. I can't give a direct quote but this will have to do: Satan will use everything in his power to thwart God. He was an angel in heaven and knows the ways of light and dark, good and bad and can use all to confuse whoever will follow him in the the eternal fires of hell. Even God is not always pleased with himself: Remember the guilt he felt for flooding the entire world? And as a sign, he gave us the rainbow as a promise not to flood the entire world again. Wouldn't you say that he admitted to making a mistake? How many of us actually try to right the wrongs we do to others? One last thing from this old windbag: Everything here on earth is a test. The way we judge anything here on earth is the way we will be judged in heaven. Good luck in your quest for answers.

Your question is not Absurd at all!!!

Many people challenged God in both the Old Testament, the New Testament and can today.
In the Old Testament one that challenged God and God "changed His Mind, changed His decision", was Abraham. Do you know the story of Abraham and Lot/Sodom and Gomorrah? Genesis chapters 17-19, Abraham changed God's mind many times concerning destroying the city of Sodom and Gomorrah, giving more time to find some righteous people in this city. Once the few righteous people were found God did destroy this very sinful city, but NOT initially when He said He would, because of Abraham. These are interesting scriptures to read!
But I do agree with the writer of the question in that we can challenge God. We can even change His mind occasionally concerning things, as Abraham did when he prayed to God.

To become a Christian in the true sense is to be Christ-like, so what is needed is an accurate knowledge of the truth from Gods word the bible and not from any man-made theology. Learn the teachings of Christ his personality the love he had for people. Then as Jesus said "When you see me, you see the Father who is in heaven"

By whose standards of morality? Yours or Gods? The wages of Sin is death. God has every right to kill every last one of us where we stand. We are born children of a fallen humanity. It is by the Grace of god that we can be saved through our savior Jesus Christ.

You can't separate the fact he is God from his actions.
Because he is God and worthy to be worshipped and obeyed he has the right to punish his creation.

Your question is absurd.
G-d owns everything -- including us. We owe our continual existance to Him. There is nothing which is not due to him or which he shouldn't be allowed to do. Furthermore, I don't think G-d does, or can do, anything "wrong". He is perfect and just. (Though I do agree that it is often beyond us to understand his calculations.)

And yes, we all die. Be it old or young. We die. Don't be spoiled. Just thank G-d for whatever existance he allows you at all.
